4.3. Connection Scenarios

4.3.1. Point-to-Point (P2P) Connection

This setup extends your existing network from one location to another, acting as a wireless Ethernet cable.

  1. Connect the Master CPE to your existing modem or router's LAN port using an Ethernet cable. Power the Master CPE via its PoE adapter.
  2. Position the Slave CPE at the remote location, ensuring it has a clear line of sight to the Master CPE.
  3. Connect the Slave CPE to the WAN port of the included AX3000 Router using an Ethernet cable. Power the Slave CPE via its PoE adapter.
  4. The AX3000 Router will then provide Wi-Fi and wired network access at the remote location.

6. Maintenance

The UeeVii Wireless Bridge units are designed for durability in outdoor conditions.

  • Weather Resistance: The IP65-rated casing provides robust protection against dust, rain, and extreme temperatures (-20°C to 65°C / -4°F to 149°F). It is also anti-UV and anti-aging.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check the physical condition of the units and mounting hardware for any signs of damage or loose connections.
  • Clear Line of Sight: Ensure that there are no new obstructions (e.g., growing trees, new buildings) that could block the line of sight between the bridge units, as this can degrade performance.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Network Connection:
    • Verify all Ethernet cables are securely connected.
    • Ensure both CPE units and the router are powered on.
    • Check the LED indicators on the CPE units for signal strength and link status.
    • Confirm a clear line of sight between the Master and Slave CPE units.
  • Slow Network Speed:
    • Check for any new obstructions between the CPE units.
    • Ensure the CPE units are aligned correctly for optimal signal.
    • Reduce interference by checking for other wireless devices operating on similar frequencies.
  • Starlink Connectivity Issues:
    • If using a Starlink system, ensure you are using an official Starlink RJ45 adapter. Aftermarket adapters may cause compatibility issues.
  • Resetting Devices:
    • Both the CPE units and the AX3000 router have reset buttons. A long press (typically 5 seconds) can restore factory default settings if needed for troubleshooting.
