1. Introduction

This camera is designed to enhance your home security by providing clear 1080P HD images, dual-band WiFi connectivity (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), and smart features accessible via the Calex Smart app. With infrared night vision, motion detection, and two-way audio, you can monitor your home, children, or pets with ease and communicate in real-time. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new camera.

5. Setup
5.1. Physical Installation
The Tiqvi camera can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall.

- Choose a Location: Select a location with good Wi-Fi signal coverage and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.
- Power On: Connect the power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet. The camera will power on and initiate its self-test.
- Wall Mounting (Optional):
- Mark the drilling positions on the wall using the mounting bracket as a template.
- Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall with screws.
- Attach the camera to the mounting bracket.
5.2. App Download and Account Creation
The Tiqvi camera operates with the Calex Smart app.
- Download the App: Search for "Calex Smart" in your smartphone's app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android) and download it.
- Register/Log In: Open the Calex Smart app. If you are a new user, register for an account using your email address or phone number. If you already have an account, log in.
5.3. Connecting to Wi-Fi
Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network before proceeding.
- Add Device: In the Calex Smart app, tap the "+" icon (or "Add Device") to add a new device.
- Select Camera: Choose "Security & Video Surveillance" and then select "Smart Camera" or a similar option.
- Reset Camera: Follow the in-app instructions to reset the camera if prompted (usually by pressing a reset button until an indicator light flashes or a voice prompt is heard).
- Enter Wi-Fi Details: Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Scan QR Code: Hold your phone with the QR code in front of the camera lens (approx. 15-20 cm away) until you hear a confirmation sound from the camera.
- Connection Complete: Once the camera connects, it will indicate successful pairing. You can then name your camera and start using it.
6. Operating
6.1. Live View
Access the live video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere via the Calex Smart app.
- Open the Calex Smart app and select your camera from the device list.
- The live video stream will appear on your screen.
6.2. Pan and Tilt Control
Control the camera's viewing angle remotely to eliminate blind spots.

- On the live view screen, use the directional controls (joystick or arrows) to pan (rotate horizontally up to 355°) and tilt (rotate vertically up to 160°) the camera.
6.3. Two-Way Audio
Communicate with people or pets on the camera's side.

- Tap the microphone icon on the live view screen to speak through the camera.
- Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.
6.4. Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to infrared night vision in low-light conditions.

- The camera's infrared LEDs provide clear black and white images up to 8 meters in complete darkness.
6.5. Motion Detection and Tracking
Receive alerts and track movement within the camera's field of view.

- Enable Motion Detection: In the app settings for your camera, enable motion detection and adjust sensitivity levels as needed.
- Receive Notifications: When motion is detected (within approx. 5 meters), you will receive instant push notifications on your smartphone.
- Motion Tracking: If enabled, the camera will automatically pan and tilt to follow detected movement.
6.6. Recording and Storage
Record video footage for later review.
- MicroSD Card Storage: Insert a MicroSD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the camera's designated slot for continuous or event-triggered recording.
- Cloud Storage (Optional): The Calex Smart app may offer cloud storage subscription services for recorded footage. Refer to the app for details.
- Playback: Access recorded videos via the app's playback feature.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Calex Smart app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
- Power Cycle: If the camera experiences issues, try unplugging it from the power source for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.
