- Door Thickness: 1.38" - 1.97" (35mm - 50mm)
- Door Hole Diameter: 2-1/8" (54mm)
- Determine your door's handing (left or right) by observing the hinge side from the outside.

2. Installation Steps
Follow these steps carefully. A screwdriver is the only tool required.
- Install the Deadbolt Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the 'UP' arrow on the latch is pointing upwards. Secure with the provided short screws.
- Attach Exterior Assembly: Feed the cable from the exterior unit through the deadbolt hole. Align the exterior unit with the door holes and insert the spindle through the latch mechanism.
- Install Mounting Plate: On the interior side, connect the cable to the interior assembly. Secure the interior mounting plate using the long screws, ensuring the cable is not pinched.
- Attach Interior Assembly: Mount the interior assembly onto the mounting plate, aligning the spindle. Secure with the remaining screws.
- Adjust Door Handing: On the interior assembly, locate the L/R switch. Set it to 'L' for left-handed doors or 'R' for right-handed doors based on your pre-installation check.
- Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment. Replace the battery cover.
- Test Operation: Manually lock and unlock the deadbolt from the interior. Test the handle's movement.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering the Lock
The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included). When batteries are low, the lock will provide an audible alert. For emergency power, a micro-USB port is available on the exterior unit to temporarily power the lock using a power bank.

2. Unlocking Methods
Your YOSIMIKA YA3 lock offers multiple convenient ways to unlock:
- Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock in approximately 0.3 seconds with 99.9% recognition accuracy.

- Passcode: Enter your programmed 6-8 digit passcode on the digital keypad, followed by the '#' key. The lock supports anti-peeping passwords, allowing you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.
- IC Card (Key Fob): Tap a registered IC card against the keypad to unlock the door.
- App Control: Use the dedicated mobile application to remotely unlock your door. (Gateway required for remote unlocking).

- Physical Key: In case of battery failure or electronic malfunction, use one of the provided physical keys to unlock the door.
3. Locking Methods
Secure your door with these convenient locking options:
- Auto-Lock: The deadbolt will automatically lock after a set period (5-900 seconds) once it has been unlocked. This feature can be configured via the mobile app.
- One-Touch Lock: Press and hold the '#' key on the keypad for 2 seconds to instantly lock the door.
- Privacy Mode: Activate privacy mode from the interior by pressing the designated button. When active, the lock cannot be opened from the outside by any electronic method (fingerprint, passcode, IC card, app) except by the administrator's password or physical key.

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
When the lock indicates low battery, replace all 4 AA batteries. To do so, slide up the battery cover on the interior unit, remove old batteries, and insert new ones according to polarity markings. Replace the cover.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the lock's exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If low, replace batteries or use emergency USB power.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
- Keypad unresponsive: Ensure the keypad is active (touch to wake). Re-enter passcode carefully.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range. If using remote access, verify the gateway is properly connected and configured.
- Door handing incorrect: Adjust the L/R switch on the interior assembly to match your door's handing.
