  1. Power On: Turn on the sharpener using the power switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Stage 1 (Coarse Sharpening - for dull or damaged blades):
    • Insert the knife blade into the left slot of Stage 1 (Coarse).
    • Pull the knife slowly and steadily towards you, from the heel to the tip, maintaining light, consistent pressure.
    • Repeat this process 3-5 times for each side of the blade (alternating left and right slots of Stage 1).
    • Ensure the blade is kept vertical to the slot.
  3. Stage 2 (Fine Sharpening - for daily maintenance or after Stage 1):
    • Move to Stage 2 (Fine). Insert the knife blade into the left slot.
    • Pull the knife slowly and steadily towards you, from the heel to the tip, maintaining light, consistent pressure.
    • Repeat this process 3-5 times for each side of the blade (alternating left and right slots of Stage 2).
  4. Stage 3 (Polishing - for a refined edge):
    • Proceed to Stage 3 (Polish). Insert the knife blade into the left slot.
    • Pull the knife slowly and steadily towards you, from the heel to the tip, with very light pressure.
    • Repeat this process 3-5 times for each side of the blade (alternating left and right slots of Stage 3). This stage removes any burrs and polishes the edge.
  5. Testing Sharpness: Carefully test the knife's sharpness on a piece of paper or a tomato. If not sufficiently sharp, repeat Stage 2 and Stage 3.
  6. Clean Knife: After sharpening, wipe the knife blade clean with a damp cloth to remove any metal particles before use.
  7. Power Off: Turn off the sharpener and unplug it from the power outlet.
