2. Assembly and Initial Setup
2.1. Adjusting Height
To adjust the height of your KMINA walking stick, locate the adjustment clip on the shaft. Press the clip to release the locking pin, then slide the upper section of the cane up or down to your desired height. Ensure the locking pin securely clicks into one of the adjustment holes. The correct height allows your elbow to be slightly bent (approximately 15-20 degrees) when holding the handle with the cane tip flat on the floor.

2.2. Adapting for Left or Right Hand Use
The KMINA walking stick can be easily adapted for use in either the left or right hand. The handle's orientation can be changed by rotating the upper shaft section. Ensure the wider part of the handle faces forward, aligning with the direction of your stride, for optimal comfort and support. The base should be positioned to provide maximum stability for your preferred side.

3. Proper Use
3.1. Proper Walking Technique
When walking with the KMINA 4-leg walking stick, hold it on the side opposite to your weaker leg. Move the cane forward simultaneously with your weaker leg, then step through with your stronger leg. Maintain an upright posture, looking forward, not down at your feet. Ensure the cane's base is fully on the ground before applying weight.

3.2. Ergonomic Grip
The ergonomic handle is designed to fit comfortably in your palm, distributing pressure evenly and reducing strain on your wrist and hand. Grip the handle firmly but not too tightly. The integrated strap can be used to secure the cane to your wrist, preventing accidental drops.

3.3. Enhanced Stability
The 4-leg base provides superior stability compared to single-point canes. The anti-slip ferrules ensure excellent traction on various surfaces. Always ensure all four ferrules are in full contact with the ground before placing your weight on the cane to maximize stability and prevent slipping.

4. Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the cane regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the materials. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
- Ferrule Inspection: Periodically check the rubber ferrules (tips) on the base for wear and tear. Worn ferrules can reduce stability and increase the risk of slipping. Replace them if they show signs of significant wear or damage.
- Joints and Adjustments: Ensure all adjustment mechanisms and joints are clean and free of debris. Lubricate moving parts if necessary with a silicone-based spray, avoiding oil-based lubricants that can attract dirt.
- Storage: Store the walking stick in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight, to prolong its lifespan.
5. Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Cane feels unstable:
- Ensure all four ferrules are making full contact with the ground.
- Check ferrules for wear; replace if worn or damaged.
- Verify the height adjustment pin is fully engaged.
- Difficulty adjusting height:
- Ensure the adjustment clip is fully pressed to release the locking pin.
- Check for any debris or dirt obstructing the shaft. Clean if necessary.
- Handle feels uncomfortable:
- Re-evaluate the cane's height adjustment. Incorrect height can lead to discomfort.
- Ensure the handle is oriented correctly for your preferred hand (left or right).
