1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your NexiGo TriVision Ultra 4K Tri-LED-Laser Portable Projector. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper function and longevity.

The NexiGo TriVision Ultra features a hybrid Tri-LED-Laser light source, delivering 4K resolution with exceptional color accuracy and brightness. It includes advanced features such as Dolby Vision, HDR10+, low input latency for gaming, and intelligent automatic setup functions.

2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the product packaging are present and undamaged. The package typically includes the projector unit, remote control, and power adapter.

2.2 Placement

Position the projector on a stable, flat surface. For optimal viewing, a projection size between 80 to 150 inches is recommended. The projector can project onto a white wall or a dedicated projector screen. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2.3 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the projector.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.

2.4 Fire TV Stick Installation (Optional)

The projector features a hidden storage compartment for a Fire TV Stick (not included). To install:

  1. Locate the compartment at the bottom of the projector.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, carefully open the compartment.
  3. Insert the Fire TV Stick into the designated HDMI 3 port and connect its power via the micro-USB (5V/1.5A) port within the compartment.
  4. Close the compartment securely.

2.5 Connectivity

The projector offers various connectivity options:

  • HDMI 1 (eARC): For audio return channel compatible devices.
  • HDMI 2 (Game): Optimized for gaming consoles.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the projector for 3 seconds, or press the power button on the remote control to turn the unit on or off.

3.2 Automatic Setup Features

The TriVision Ultra is equipped with AI-powered automatic setup functions:

  • Autofocus: Automatically sharpens the image for clear viewing.
  • Auto Keystone Correction: Corrects image distortion for a perfectly aligned rectangular picture.
  • Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance: Adjusts the projection to avoid objects in the path.
  • Auto Screen Detection: Effortlessly adjusts the image to fit the screen boundaries.
  • Adaptive Brightness: Adjusts brightness to match ambient light conditions.
  • Intelligent Eye Protection: Dims brightness when detecting nearby motion to reduce eye strain.

While these features are designed for convenience, manual adjustments are available in the settings menu if specific fine-tuning is required.

3.3 Input Source Selection

Use the remote control to navigate to the input source menu and select the desired input (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, USB, or the internal Fire TV Stick if installed).

3.4 Audio Settings

The projector supports Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X for an immersive sound experience through its built-in 30W speakers. You can also connect external audio devices via the 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI eARC, or Bluetooth 5.2.

3.5 Gaming Mode

For an optimized gaming experience, the projector offers a low latency mode (4.2 ms ~ 8 ms) and supports 4K@120Hz input via HDMI 2.1. MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology ensures smooth motion and reduced ghosting.

3.6 3D Functionality

The projector supports Active 3D movies. Compatible 3D glasses (sold separately) are required to experience 3D content.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Lens: Gently wipe the projector lens with a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Exterior: Clean the exterior of the projector with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the unit.

4.2 Ventilation

Ensure that the projector's ventilation ports are clear and unobstructed to prevent overheating. While the fan operates quietly, proper airflow is crucial for performance and longevity. If using the Fire TV Stick compartment, ensure it remains adequately ventilated.

4.3 Filter Maintenance

The NexiGo TriVision Ultra utilizes Tri-LED-Laser technology, which typically does not require user-replaceable or cleanable filters, simplifying maintenance compared to traditional lamp-based projectors.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your projector, refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Image/Poor Image Quality:
    • Check all cable connections (HDMI, power).
    • Ensure the correct input source is selected.
    • Verify the projection surface is suitable (white wall or screen).
    • Manually adjust focus and keystone correction if automatic features are not producing the desired result.
  • No Sound:
    • Check the volume level on the projector and connected devices.
    • Ensure external speakers or headphones are properly connected or paired via Bluetooth.
    • Verify audio output settings on the source device.
  • Connectivity Issues:
    • For Wi-Fi, ensure the network password is correct and the signal is strong.
    • For Bluetooth, ensure the device is in pairing mode and within range.
    • Restart the projector and the connected device.
  • Overheating Warning:
    • Ensure adequate ventilation around the projector.
    • Do not block air vents.
    • Operate in a room with appropriate ambient temperature.
