4. Setup
Proper setup is crucial for the performance and longevity of your ice maker.
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Retain packaging materials for future transport if needed.
4.2 Placement
Choose a location that is level, stable, and has access to a water supply and drain. Ensure at least 50mm (approximately 2 inches) of clearance on the sides and top for proper ventilation. The unit can be installed under a counter, freestanding, or built-in.

4.3 Door Reversal (Optional)
The stainless steel door is reversible. If you wish to change the hinge side from left to right or vice-versa, follow the instructions provided in the separate installation guide (if applicable) or consult the manufacturer's support resources. This typically involves unscrewing hinges and reattaching them on the opposite side.
4.4 Water Supply Connection
- Connect the provided water hose to the water inlet on the back of the ice maker.
- Connect the other end of the water hose to a cold water supply line with a shut-off valve.
- Ensure all connections are tightened to prevent leaks. Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks.
4.5 Drain Pump Connection
The electric drain pump is shipped as a separate package. Connect the drain hose from the ice maker to the inlet of the drain pump. Ensure the drain pump's outlet hose is directed to a suitable drain point. The drain pump allows for effective water drainage without relying on gravity.
5. Operating Instructions
Operating your VEVOR ice maker is straightforward with its intuitive control panel.

5.2 Initial Startup

- The unit will begin its ice-making cycle. The first few batches of ice may be smaller or irregular; this is normal. Discard the first 2-3 batches of ice.
5.3 Ice Production
The ice maker will automatically produce ice until the ice bin is full or the water level is low. The display will indicate the current status.
5.4 Alerts and Indicators
- Low Water Alert: If the water supply is low, an indicator will light up. The unit will pause ice production until water is replenished.
