3. Setup

3.1. Wired Connection (USB-C)

  1. Locate the USB-C port on the back of the keyboard.
  2. Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  4. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your operating system.

3.2. Wireless Connection (2.4GHz)

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver (dongle) included in the package.
  2. Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. On the back of the keyboard, locate the mode switch. Slide the switch to the 2.4GHz wireless mode icon (usually indicated by a wireless signal icon).
  4. The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver. If not, ensure the receiver is properly inserted and the keyboard is in 2.4GHz mode.

3.3. Bluetooth Connection

  1. On the back of the keyboard, slide the mode switch to the Bluetooth mode icon (usually indicated by a Bluetooth symbol).
  2. The keyboard's indicator light will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  3. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), navigate to Bluetooth settings.

3.4. QMK/VIA Software Setup

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Keyboard Functions

The Womier Q61-Kanagawa is a 60% layout keyboard. Many standard functions are accessed via the Fn key combined with other keys.

4.3. Hot-swappable Switches

The Womier Q61-Kanagawa features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. This keyboard is compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin switches.

  1. Using the provided keycap puller, carefully remove the keycap from the switch you wish to replace.
  2. Insert the switch puller around the top and bottom clips of the switch.
  3. Gently squeeze the clips and pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
  4. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.
  5. Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks.
  6. Replace the keycap.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Keycaps: Use a keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.

6. Troubleshooting
