4.1 Assembly

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On and Homing

After assembly and software setup, connect the power. The machine will typically perform a homing sequence to establish its origin. Ensure the work area is clear during homing.

5.2 Material Placement and Focusing

Place your material securely on the work bed. The Z-shaped lifting device allows you to adjust the height of the laser module to quickly set the focal length for optimal engraving or cutting. The laser head also features a temperature display.

5.3 Air Assist System

The K1 Pro features an upgraded all-in-one air-assist system. While the air pump is not included in the base set, the system supports manual stepless adjustment of air assist via a knob or automatic airflow adjustment through LightBurn. This helps in achieving cleaner cuts and engravings by reducing material distortion and discoloration.

5.4 Engraving and Cutting

Load your design into the software (LightBurn or LaserGRBL). Adjust power and speed settings according to the material being processed. The K1 Pro offers powerful cutting capabilities:

• 20mm thick pine wood (one pass)

5.5 Offline Engraving

The machine supports offline engraving using a TF card. Prepare your G-code files on the TF card and insert it into the control box for operation without a direct computer connection.

6. Maintenance

• Regularly clean the laser lens and protective window to ensure optimal performance and beam quality.
• Keep the linear rails and moving parts free of dust and debris. Lubricate as needed according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect cables and connections for any signs of wear or damage.
• Ensure the work area and machine are kept clean to prevent material residue buildup.

7. Troubleshooting

• Machine not connecting to software: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected and the correct COM port is selected in the software. Check if the emergency stop button is disengaged.
• Laser not firing or weak output: Verify laser power settings in the software. Check the focus of the laser module. Ensure the laser lens is clean.
• Inaccurate engraving/cutting: Check belt tension on the Y-axis. Ensure the material is securely clamped. Verify software settings for speed and power.
• Overheating: The laser head has a temperature display and alarm. If an alarm sounds, stop operation and allow the machine to cool. Ensure proper ventilation.
