1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the AMZCHEF Double Induction Cooktop with Removable Iron Cast Griddle. This appliance combines the efficiency of induction cooking with the versatility of a griddle, offering two independent cooking zones. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the appliance to ensure safe and efficient use.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury, or damage, always follow basic safety precautions when using this appliance.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the cooktop's requirements (120V). Do not immerse the cooktop in water or other liquids. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Cookware Compatibility: Use only induction-compatible cookware. This includes steel cast iron, enameled cast iron, stainless steel, and flat-bottomed magnetic pots and pans. Avoid aluminum, ceramic, copper, and glass cookware.
  • Child Safety Lock: Utilize the child safety lock feature to prevent unintended operation by children.
  • Over-Temperature Protection: The cooktop is equipped with an over-temperature protection system. If the internal temperature becomes too high, the unit will automatically shut off.
  • Residual Heat Warning: The cooktop surface may remain hot after use. A residual heat warning indicator will alert you. Avoid touching the hot surface until it has cooled down.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the cooktop during operation. Do not block air vents.
  • Placement: Place the cooktop on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Do not place near flammable materials.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your AMZCHEF Double Induction Cooktop:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the cooktop for any damage. Retain packaging for future transport if needed.
  2. Placement: The cooktop is designed for both countertop and built-in use. Ensure the chosen location is a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Allow sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V electrical outlet.
  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the cooktop surface and the griddle pan with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are dry before plugging in.

5. Operating Instructions

The AMZCHEF Double Induction Cooktop features a "Knob + Touch" control design for intuitive operation of its two independent cooking zones.

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press the power button on the control panel.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button for a few seconds.

5.2 Using the Griddle (Left Zone)

When using the removable cast iron griddle pan, place it on the left cooking zone. This zone operates in 'C' (Grilling) mode.

  1. Place the griddle pan on the left burner.
  2. Select the left zone using the touch controls.
  3. Adjust the temperature using the corresponding knob. The griddle offers 5 temperature levels (C1-C5).

5.3 Using the Induction Cooker (Right Zone)

The right cooking zone is for standard induction cooking with compatible pots and pans. This zone operates in 'P' (Power) mode.

  1. Place an induction-compatible pot or pan on the right burner.
  2. Select the right zone using the touch controls.
  3. Adjust the power level using the corresponding knob. This zone offers 9 power levels (P1-P9).

5.4 Independent Dual Temperature Control

Both cooking zones can be operated simultaneously with independent temperature/power settings. The maximum total power when both burners are active is 1800W.

5.5 Timer Function

The cooktop includes a timer function, allowing you to set cooking durations from 1 to 99 minutes. Refer to the control panel for timer activation and adjustment.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your cooktop.

6.1 Cooktop Surface Cleaning

  • Allow the cooktop to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
  • For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive ceramic cooktop cleaner.
  • Do not use abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or steam cleaners.

6.2 Griddle Pan Cleaning

  • The removable cast iron griddle pan is dishwasher safe.
  • Alternatively, wash by hand with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Ensure the griddle is completely dry before storing to prevent rust.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AMZCHEF Double Induction Cooktop, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
