1. Product Overview

The Joso Keyboard and Mouse Adapter (Model TNS-19077) allows users to connect a wired or 2.4G wireless keyboard and mouse to various gaming consoles, enhancing gameplay precision and control. This adapter is compatible with Nintendo Switch (1st Gen & OLED), Xbox One/360, and PS4/PS3. Please note, it is not compatible with PS5, Switch Lite, or Switch 2.

2. Setup Instructions

The Joso Keyboard and Mouse Adapter is designed for plug-and-play functionality. For optimal performance, wired USB or 2.4G wireless keyboards and mice are recommended. Bluetooth devices are not supported.

2.1. Connecting to Nintendo Switch

1. Navigate to your Nintendo Switch System Settings.
2. Select Controllers and Sensors.
3. Enable Pro Controller Wired Communication by setting it to "On".
4. Connect the Joso adapter to a free USB interface on your Nintendo Switch dock.
5. Connect your wired keyboard to the adapter's Keyboard Interface and your wired mouse to the Mouse Interface.
6. Once connected, the red (keyboard), green (mouse), and white (console/controller) indicator lights on the adapter should be continuously lit, indicating successful recognition.
7. When the Nintendo Switch displays the prompt "Press A when you're ready", press the Ctrl key on your connected keyboard to enter keyboard and mouse mode. (Note: Switch 'A' corresponds to Keyboard 'Ctrl' in this context).

2.2. Connecting to PlayStation 4 (PS4) / PlayStation 3 (PS3)

1. Turn on your PS4 console.
2. Go to Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method.
3. Select Use USB Cable. (For PS3, this setting can be skipped).
4. Turn off your original PS4 controller.
5. Connect the original PS4 controller (in its off state) to the adapter's Gamepad Connection Interface. Then, turn on the PS4 controller.
6. Connect the Joso adapter to a free USB port on your PS4 console.
7. Connect your wired keyboard to the adapter's Keyboard Interface and your wired mouse to the Mouse Interface.
8. When the red (keyboard), green (mouse), and two white (console/controller) indicator lights are continuously lit, the recognition is successful and the adapter is ready for use.

2.3. Connecting to Xbox One / Xbox 360

1. Connect the Joso adapter to a free USB port on your Xbox console. The white light on the adapter will flash slowly.
2. Connect your official Xbox controller to the adapter's Gamepad Connection Interface. The white light on the adapter will then be continuously lit.
3. Connect your wired keyboard to the adapter's Keyboard Interface. The red light will be continuously lit.
4. Connect your wired mouse to the adapter's Mouse Interface. The green light will be continuously lit.
5. When the red, green, and two white indicator lights are continuously lit, the recognition is successful and the adapter is ready for use.

Tip: If the original controller is low on power, the adapter's white light will flash slowly. Use a Type-C cable (not included) to supply power to the original controller via the Joso adapter to ensure proper use of the keyboard and mouse.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Default Key Functions

The adapter comes with pre-set default key mappings for various consoles. You can switch between these default modes using the F12 key in combination with F1 or F2.

• Press F12 + F1 on your keyboard to enter the F1 default key mode. This mode is generally suitable for Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, and PS3.
• Press F12 + F2 on your keyboard to enter the F2 default key mode. This mode is also generally suitable for Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, and PS3, offering an alternative layout.

3.2. Custom Key Mapping

The adapter supports 8 distinct profiles for custom key mapping, allowing you to tailor controls for different games or preferences.

1. To enter a key mapping storage area, press F12 + F1 through F12 + F8. Each F-key corresponds to a different storage region, indicated by a specific color on the adapter's LED:
   • F1: No Lighting
   • F2: Blue
   • F3: Red
   • F4: Purple
   • F5: Green
   • F6: Cyan
   • F7: Yellow
   • F8: White
2. To enter custom key mapping mode, press F12 + F11. The blue light on the adapter will turn on.
3. To remap a key: Hold down the button on your original controller that you wish to modify. While holding it, press the desired key on your keyboard or mouse that you want to assign to that function. (Each controller button supports one corresponding keyboard/mouse function).
4. After setting all desired buttons, press F11 + F12 to exit key mapping mode and save your settings. The blue light will turn off.
5. To unmap a key: Enter key mapping mode (F12 + F11). Press the key on your keyboard/mouse that you want to unmap. Then, press F12 + F11 again to exit.

3.3. Adjusting Mouse Sensitivity

You can adjust the mouse sensitivity to suit your play style. The adapter supports 9 levels of adjustable mouse sensitivity.

• To adjust sensitivity, press F12 followed by a number from 1 to 9 (the numbers above the keyboard letters).
• 1 represents the lowest sensitivity.
• 9 represents the highest sensitivity.
• A sensitivity setting of 4 is generally recommended for a balanced experience.

3.4. Inverting Y-Axis

For games where you prefer inverted Y-axis control, the adapter provides a quick toggle.

• To invert the Y-axis control direction, press F12 + Y on your keyboard. This will switch the forward and reverse directions of the mouse cursor's Y-axis.

4. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard/Mouse stops working in-game on Nintendo Switch (but works on Home Menu): Turn off any wirelessly paired Pro Controllers to ensure the adapter is the primary input device.
• To use both Pro Controller and adapter simultaneously on Nintendo Switch: Connect the Pro Controller directly to the adapter's controller USB port.
• Original controller low on power (Xbox): If the adapter's white light flashes slowly, it indicates the original controller is low on power. Use a Type-C cable (not included) to supply power to the adapter, which will then power the controller.
• No input recognized: Ensure all cables are securely connected to their respective ports on the adapter and console. Check that the indicator lights on the adapter are lit correctly for each connected device.
• Incorrect key mapping: If your key mapping is not working as expected, re-enter the key mapping mode (F12 + F11), unmap the incorrect key, and then remap it correctly.
