Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the thermal carafe, brew baskets, and water tank with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
3. Position: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate clearance for steam release.
4. Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the side of the unit. Fill it with fresh, filtered water up to the desired level (max 10 cups). Reinsert the water tank securely.
5. Power On: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
6. First Use Cycle: Before brewing coffee, run a full cycle with only water to rinse the internal components. Select a 10-cup brew, but do not add coffee grounds. Discard the water after the cycle.

4. Fill the water tank with fresh, filtered water to the corresponding cup mark.
5. Place the thermal carafe with its lid securely under the brew basket.
6. On the display, select your desired brew profile (e.g., Light Roast, Medium Roast, Dark Roast, or a custom profile).
7. Press the control knob to start brewing. The display will show the brewing progress.

2. Single Serve Brewing (1-3 Cups)

1. Ensure the single-serve brew basket (green rim) is inserted into the brew chamber.
2. Place a #6 cone paper filter (or a smaller compatible filter) into the single-serve brew basket.
3. Add your desired amount of medium-ground coffee.
4. Fill the water tank with fresh, filtered water to the corresponding cup mark (1-3 cups).
5. Place your mug or a small carafe under the brew basket.
6. On the display, select your desired single-serve brew profile.
7. Press the control knob to start brewing.

3. Cold Brew

1. Ensure the batch brew basket is inserted.
2. Add coarse-ground coffee to the filter.
3. Fill the water tank with cold, filtered water.
4. Place the thermal carafe under the brew basket.
5. On the display, select the 'Cold Brew' profile.
6. Press the control knob to start the cold brew cycle. The process will take several hours.

4. Scheduling a Brew

1. Prepare the coffee maker with water and grounds as described for batch or single-serve brewing.

Maintenance

1. Daily Cleaning

• Carafe and Lids: Wash the thermal carafe and its lid with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
• Brew Baskets: Remove and rinse the brew baskets after each use. They can also be washed with warm, soapy water.
• Water Tank: Periodically rinse the water tank.

2. Descaling

Mineral deposits (scale) can build up over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your Aiden coffee maker regularly, especially if you have hard water. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage, but generally every 1-3 months is recommended.

1. Prepare Descaling Solution: Use a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for coffee makers, or a solution of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Follow the descaler manufacturer's instructions for concentration.
2. Fill Water Tank: Pour the descaling solution into the water tank up to the 10-cup mark.
