Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Once the battery and foot pedal are connected, the thrower is ready for operation. There may be a power switch; ensure it is in the "ON" position if present.
  2. Adjusting Throwing Angle: The Raven thrower allows for adjustment of the throwing plane from 5 to 35 degrees. Refer to the adjustment mechanism on the unit to set your desired trajectory. Always disconnect power before making adjustments.
  3. Launching Targets: With the firing zone clear and all safety precautions observed, press the foot pedal to launch a clay pigeon. The thrower has a rapid 2.5-second recycle time, allowing for quick follow-up shots.

  4. Continuous Operation: The thrower will automatically feed the next clay pigeon after each launch, provided the magazine is loaded.
  5. Power Off: When finished, disconnect the 12V battery from the thrower. This prevents accidental activation and conserves battery life.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Raven Clay Pigeon Thrower.

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in dusty or muddy conditions, wipe down the thrower with a damp cloth. Remove any clay residue from the throwing arm and feeding mechanism. Ensure all moving parts are free of debris.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a light lubricant to pivot points and moving parts as recommended by the manufacturer (refer to any specific instructions on the unit itself).
  • Battery Care: Keep your 12V battery charged and stored in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging the battery, as this can reduce its lifespan.
  • Clay Pigeon Quality: For best results and to minimize wear on the thrower, it is recommended to use high-quality clay pigeons such as White Flyer. Avoid using old or damaged clays, as they can break prematurely in the machine or cause jams.
