6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your borescope:

  • Cleaning the Probe: After each use, especially in dirty or oily environments, gently wipe the probe tip and lens with a soft, damp cloth or an alcohol prep pad (some included in the box). Ensure no debris obstructs the camera lens or LED lights.
  • Storage: Always store the borescope and its accessories in the provided protective carrying case when not in use. This protects the device from dust, impacts, and environmental damage.
  • Battery Care: To maintain battery health, avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, even if not in constant use. The device supports use while charging.
  • Temperature Monitoring: The borescope has a built-in smart temperature sensor to prevent overheating. Note that the sensor detects the probe's temperature, not the ambient temperature. The camera probe generates heat during operation, with a normal working temperature range of 40-50°C (104-122°F).
  • Water Resistance: The probe is IP67-rated waterproof. While it can withstand wet and oily conditions, avoid prolonged submersion or exposure to high-pressure water jets.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Teslong TD300P borescope, try the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • No Image on Screen: Check if the probe is securely connected to the main unit. Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
  • Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Adjust the LED light brightness to suit the environment. Ensure the object being inspected is within the optimal focal range (typically 1.2-3.2 inches).
  • Articulation Not Working: Check for any physical obstructions preventing the probe tip from bending. Ensure the articulation joystick is not stuck.
  • Cannot Save Photos/Videos: Verify that the MicroSD card is properly inserted. Check if the MicroSD card has sufficient free space. If the card is full, transfer files to a computer and delete them from the card.
  • Device Freezes: Press and hold the Power Button () for 10-15 seconds to force a restart.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please contact Teslong customer support for further assistance.
