4. Assembly and Setup

4.1. Handle Assembly

1. Attach the lower handle section to the main mower body using the provided bolts and knobs. Ensure it is securely fastened.
2. Connect the upper handle section to the lower handle section, aligning the holes and securing with the remaining bolts and knobs.
3. Route any cables along the handle and secure them with the cable clips provided.

4.2. Grass Collection Bag Assembly

Assemble the grass collection bag by attaching the fabric bag to the plastic frame. Ensure all clips are securely fastened.

4.3. Battery Charging and Installation

1. Before first use, fully charge the 4.0 Ah battery using the supplied charger. Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery. The indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status.
2. Once charged, slide the battery into the battery compartment on the lawnmower until it clicks into place.
3. Insert the safety key into its slot next to the battery. The mower will not operate without the safety key inserted.

5. Operation

5.1. Starting and Stopping the Lawnmower

1. Ensure the battery is installed and the safety key is inserted.
2. Press and hold the safety button on the handle.
3. While holding the safety button, pull the bail lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
4. To stop the lawnmower, release the bail lever. The motor will stop immediately.

5.2. Adjusting Cutting Height

The LEHMANN LGALM-4037 offers 5 cutting height positions, ranging from 25 mm to 75 mm. To adjust the cutting height:

1. Ensure the lawnmower is turned off and the safety key is removed.
2. Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower.

6. Maintenance

WARNING: Always remove the safety key and battery before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

6.1. Cleaning

• After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass clippings from hardening. Use a brush or scraper; do not use water directly on the motor or electrical components.
• Wipe down the exterior of the mower with a damp cloth.
• Clean the grass collection bag regularly. It can be rinsed with water and allowed to dry completely before reattaching.

6.2. Blade Care

Periodically inspect the cutting blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can lead to poor cutting performance and increased motor strain. If necessary, have the blade sharpened or replaced by a qualified service technician.
