3. Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Heat Mat: Place the seedling heat mat on a flat, stable surface. Ensure it is away from water and direct sunlight. Plug the heat mat into a power source. The heat mat will warm the soil to approximately 10°F-20°F above ambient air temperature, providing an optimal environment for germination.
- Prepare Seed Trays: Fill the 40-cell seed trays with a moist seed starting mix. Use the provided dibber tool to create small holes in each cell for seeds, ensuring proper depth according to seed packet instructions.
- Plant Seeds: Place 2-3 seeds per cell into the prepared holes. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil.
- Watering: Water the soil until it is damp to the touch. Bottom watering by adding water to the base tray is recommended to prevent disturbing seeds.
- Assemble the Kit: Place the filled 40-cell seed trays into the base trays. Position the clear humidity domes over the seed trays.
- Install Grow Lights: Snap the LED grow lights into the designated grooves on the top of the humidity domes. Connect the USB-C cable to the grow lights and a power adapter.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Heat Mat Operation
The heat mat is designed to maintain consistent soil temperatures for optimal seed germination. Refer to your specific seed type for ideal germination temperatures. The heat mat controller allows for temperature adjustment. Once seeds have germinated and developed true leaves, the heat mat can be removed.

4.2. Grow Light Control
The LED grow lights feature multiple lighting modes, dimming levels, and a timer function to cater to various plant needs. Adjust settings based on the specific light requirements of your seedlings (e.g., 3H, 6H, 12H timer options; 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% dimming).

4.3. Humidity Control
The clear humidity domes are equipped with adjustable circular vents. During initial germination, keep vents closed to maintain high humidity. As seedlings grow, gradually open the vents to reduce humidity and harden off the plants before transplanting.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
Clean trays and domes with mild soap and water after each use. Ensure all components are thoroughly dried before storage to prevent mold or mildew buildup. The heat mat is waterproof and can be wiped clean.
5.2. Reusability
All plastic components are durable, reusable, and recyclable, allowing for multiple seasons of seed starting.
6. Troubleshooting
- Poor Germination: Ensure the heat mat is set to the correct temperature for your specific seeds. Verify soil moisture levels are adequate but not waterlogged. Some seeds require darkness to germinate; check seed packet instructions.
- Leggy Seedlings: This indicates insufficient light. Increase the duration or intensity of the grow lights. Ensure lights are positioned close enough to the seedlings without causing heat stress.
- Damping-Off Disease: This is often caused by excessive moisture and poor air circulation. Reduce watering, ensure proper drainage, and increase ventilation by opening the humidity dome vents.
- Pests: If small insects appear, consider using sticky traps (not included in this specific kit, but generally useful for houseplant pests) or other organic pest control methods.
