This gate is hardware-mounted and requires drilling. Ensure you have the necessary tools (electric drill, measuring tape, pencil) and follow these steps carefully.

4.1 Preparation

  • Measure the opening: The gate is adjustable to fit openings 35.5-55 inches wide. Measure your desired installation area accurately.
  • Identify wall material: Determine if your wall is wood, drywall, concrete, or brick to select appropriate screws and anchors.
  • Disassemble Long Gate Accessory: If the Long Gate Accessory is pre-assembled with the Main Gate, disassemble it first as per the manual diagram.

  2. Mark drilling points: Use a pencil to mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the plastic brackets of the vertical bars.
  3. Drill pilot holes:
    • For wooden walls/studs: Drill 5/64" (2mm) pilot holes. Use short screws.
    • For drywall/concrete/brick: Drill 5/16" (8mm) pilot holes. Insert wall anchors, then use long screws.
  4. Secure brackets: Screw the vertical bars securely to the wall using the appropriate screws. Ensure they are firmly attached and do not wobble.
