3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Remove the coffee machine and all packaging materials from the box.
Place the machine on a stable, flat surface.

3.2 Initial Cleaning

Wash the removable water tank, cup support grid, and drip tray with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.

3.3 Filling the Water Tank

Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
Fill the tank with fresh, potable water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not exceed this level.
Place the water tank back into its position on the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.

3.4 First Use / Priming

Plug the machine into a suitable power outlet. The power button will illuminate.
Place an empty cup under the coffee dispenser.
Press the coffee dispensing button (Stop&Go). The machine will start pumping water to prime the circuit. Allow the water to flow until the tank is almost empty.
Refill the water tank. The machine is now ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing Coffee

Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
Lift the capsule loading lever.
Insert one Lavazza A Modo Mio capsule into the capsule compartment.
Close the capsule loading lever firmly until it clicks into place.
Place your desired cup on the cup support grid. The grid can be removed for taller mugs.
Press the backlit Stop&Go button. The machine will begin brewing coffee.
To stop the coffee flow at your desired quantity, press the Stop&Go button again.
After brewing, lift the capsule loading lever to eject the used capsule into the internal container.

4.2 Stand-by Mode

The Lavazza Jolie EVO is designed for energy saving. It will automatically enter stand-by mode after 2 minutes of inactivity. To reactivate the machine, press the Stop&Go button.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Daily Cleaning

Water Tank: Empty and rinse the water tank daily. Refill with fresh water.
Used Capsule Container: Empty the transparent used capsule container when full or at the end of the day. Wash it with warm water and mild detergent.
Drip Tray and Cup Support Grid: Remove and wash these parts with warm water and mild detergent. All removable parts are dishwasher safe.
Machine Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Descaling

Regular descaling is essential to maintain machine performance and coffee quality. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Refer to the descaling instructions provided with a suitable descaling solution for coffee machines. Generally, descaling is recommended every 3-6 months.
