5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Manual Control
The water timer features two physical buttons (one for each zone) for immediate manual watering. Pressing a button will activate the corresponding zone. Pressing it again will turn it off. This allows for quick watering without interrupting preset schedules.

5.2. App Control
The Smart Life app provides comprehensive control over your water timer:
- Timed Watering Mode: Set a specific start time, irrigation duration (1 minute to 24 hours), and choose a weekly cycle (e.g., Mon, Wed, Fri) or specific days (odd/even days, every few days). Each of the 2 zones can have up to 10 programs.
- Cyclical Watering Mode: Define an irrigation duration, an interval time between cycles, and overall start and end times. The timer will automatically cycle watering within these parameters.
- Rain Delay: Pause your programmed watering schedule for 1 to 7 days. The schedule will automatically resume after the delay period.
- Voice Control: Integrate with Alexa or Google Assistant to turn watering on/off using simple voice commands (e.g., "Alexa, open the Smart Dual Water Timer").
- Watering History: View detailed records of past watering events, including duration, for each zone within the app.
- Extended Irrigation System: Expand your smart irrigation system by connecting up to 32 WiFi water timers to a single WiFi hub.

6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace all 4 AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears in the app or on the device. Ensure the waterproof seal is properly seated when closing the battery compartment.
- Inlet Filter Cleaning: Periodically check the filter screen in the brass inlet for debris. Remove and rinse it under running water to maintain optimal water flow.
- Winterization: Before the first frost, disconnect the water timer from the faucet and hoses. Remove the batteries and store the device indoors in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage from freezing water.
