4. Setup
4.1 Power Supply
The main unit can be powered by the included AC adapter or by batteries. The remote sensor requires batteries.
- Main Unit: Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment for backup power. For continuous display and adjustable backlight, connect the AC power adapter to the main unit and a power outlet.
- Remote Sensor: Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the remote sensor's battery compartment.
Note: Using both the power adapter and batteries for the main unit is recommended to maintain screen brightness and prevent data loss during power outages.

4.2 Sensor Pairing
The remote sensor automatically pairs with the main unit upon power-up. Ensure both units are powered on and within range.
- Place the remote sensor within 60 meters (200 feet) of the main unit, avoiding large metal objects or thick walls that may interfere with the signal.
- If the outdoor temperature/humidity is not displayed, press and hold the "CH" button on the main unit to initiate a manual search for the sensor.
- The remote sensor can be placed in various outdoor locations to monitor conditions.

4.3 Atomic Clock (WWVB) Synchronization
The weather station features a WWVB atomic clock function, which automatically synchronizes the time and date.
- Upon initial power-up or after a reset, the unit will automatically attempt to receive the WWVB signal. This process may take several minutes or hours depending on location and signal strength.
- Ensure the time zone and Daylight Saving Time (DST) settings are correctly configured on the main unit. Refer to the "Button Functions" section for setting details.
- The atomic clock will automatically adjust the real time daily once synchronized.
