  4. Power On: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts.

5. Operation

5.1 Basic Recording

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically start continuous loop recording. The screen will display the live view from the cameras. You can switch between different screen viewing modes (e.g., front only, interior only, multi-view) using the dash cam's interface.

5.2 APP Control (Viidure App)

The built-in WiFi allows you to connect your smartphone to the dash cam for advanced control and file management.

  1. Download App: Search for "Viidure" in your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store) and install it.
  2. Enable WiFi on Dash Cam: Refer to your dash cam's on-screen menu to enable its WiFi hotspot.
  3. Connect Phone to Dash Cam WiFi: On your smartphone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the dash cam's WiFi network (SSID and password will be displayed on the dash cam screen or in the quick start guide).
  4. Open Viidure App: Launch the Viidure app. You can now preview live footage, play back recorded videos, download files to your phone, and adjust dash cam settings directly from the app.

5.3 G-Sensor & Emergency Recording

The G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid deceleration. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment (typically 30 seconds) to a protected folder on the SD card, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical incident footage is preserved.

5.4 Loop Recording

The dash cam records video in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 3, or 5-minute segments). When the SD card reaches its capacity, the oldest unlocked video files are automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

5.5 Night Vision

Equipped with infrared (IR) LEDs, the interior cameras provide clear video footage even in completely dark environments, making it ideal for ride-sharing drivers. The main unit's screen brightness can be adjusted for optimal viewing day or night.

5.6 Parking Monitor & Parking Assistance

  • Parking Monitor: When connected to a hardwire kit (not included), the dash cam can monitor your vehicle for 24 hours. If a collision or shake is detected while parked, it will automatically record and lock the footage.
  • Parking Assistance: When reversing, the rear camera display on the dash cam screen will show parking auxiliary lines to help you park safely and accurately.

6. Maintenance

  • SD Card Formatting: It is recommended to format the SD card regularly (e.g., once a month) within the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important files before formatting.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's lenses and screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, as this can affect its lifespan and performance.
