1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Craftmade Lyndsey Vanity Light. This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new lighting fixture. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning installation and retain it for future reference.

The Lyndsey collection features a timeless design with clear glass shades that diffuse light for a glare-free, well-lit room. This fixture is designed for indoor use and is damp rated, making it suitable for bathroom environments.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Disconnect power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before installation or servicing.

  • All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes, ordinances, or the National Electric Code (NEC). Contact a qualified electrician if you are unfamiliar with proper electrical wiring connections.
  • This fixture is intended for indoor, damp-rated locations only.
  • Use only E26 Medium Base bulbs, maximum 60 watts per socket. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
  • Do not install this fixture on a wet surface.
  • Ensure all components are securely fastened before restoring power.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves during installation.

3. Package Contents

Carefully unpack your fixture and check that all parts are included. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble or install the product. Contact customer service for assistance.

Note: E26 Medium Base 60 Watt Bulbs are NOT included and must be purchased separately.

4. Setup and Installation

Before you begin, ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker.

  1. Prepare the Mounting Surface: Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and capable of supporting the fixture's weight.
  2. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (included in hardware kit) to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure the plate is level.
  3. Electrical Connections:
    • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (Live) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (Neutral) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (usually bare copper or green).
    • Secure all connections with wire nuts (included) and wrap with electrical tape for added safety.
  4. Mount the Fixture: Carefully align the fixture body with the mounting plate and secure it using the provided screws.
  5. Install Glass Shades: Gently screw each clear glass shade onto the fixture sockets. Do not overtighten.
  6. Install Bulbs: Screw four E26 Medium Base bulbs (not included, max 60W each) into the sockets.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the fixture is securely installed and bulbs are in place, restore power at the circuit breaker. The light fixture will operate via your wall switch.

  • Turning On/Off: Use the standard wall switch connected to the fixture to turn the lights on or off.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely. Unscrew the old bulb and screw in a new E26 Medium Base bulb (max 60W). Do not overtighten.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your Craftmade Lyndsey Vanity Light.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish. For glass shades, a mild glass cleaner can be used on a cloth, then wipe dry.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all electrical connections and mounting hardware for tightness.

7. Troubleshooting
