1. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation and longevity of your Pandora Saga DX Plus Arcade System, please observe the following:

2. Product Overview

The Generic Pandora Saga DX Plus Arcade System (Model 3516) is a versatile plug-and-play arcade solution designed for an immersive gaming experience. It features a comprehensive game library and supports various display and control options.

3. What's in the Box

Upon opening the package, verify that all the following components are included:

  • Pandora Saga DX Plus Main Console Unit (Player 1)
  • Secondary Controller Unit (Player 2)
  • HDMI Cable
  • VGA Cable
  • AC to DC Power Adapter
  • Spare Buttons (for replacement)
  • Interconnection Cable (to link Player 1 and Player 2 units)
  • Two Joysticks (to be screwed into the units)

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Pandora Saga DX Plus Arcade System:

  1. Attach Joysticks: Carefully screw the provided joysticks into the designated slots on both the Player 1 and Player 2 units.
  2. Connect Player 2 Unit: Use the interconnection cable to connect the Player 2 unit to the Player 1 unit. The cable has specific connectors that should align with the ports on each unit.
  3. Connect to Display: Connect the Player 1 unit to your TV or monitor using either the HDMI cable for high-definition output or the VGA cable for compatible displays.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the AC to DC power adapter into the power socket on the Player 1 unit, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  5. Power On: Flip the power toggle switch on the Player 1 unit to the 'ON' position. The system will boot up and display the main game menu.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Game Selection

Navigate through the game list using the joystick. Press the 'SELECT' button (typically Player 1 Start) to choose a game. Press 'A' (Player 1 A button) to start the selected game.

5.2. Switching Display Modes

To switch between horizontal and vertical display modes, press and hold the Player 1-B button for 3 seconds.

5.3. Game Management Functions

  • Pause/Exit: During gameplay, press the 'Pause' button to access the pause menu. From here, you can choose to continue, save state, load state, or exit the game.
  • Favorite Game List: Add your preferred games to a favorites list for quick access.
  • Recent Games: The system automatically tracks recently played games.
  • Hide Games: You can hide specific games from the main list.

5.4. System and Game Settings

Access the system and game settings menus to customize your experience. Options include adjusting difficulty, managing game lists, and editing your favorite games.

5.5. Connecting External USB Controllers

The Player 1 unit includes USB ports for connecting additional paddle controllers, allowing for up to 4 players in compatible games.

6. Maintenance

To maintain your arcade system in optimal condition:

  • Regularly check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris.
  • Clean the exterior of the units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the system in a cool, dry place when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Pandora Saga DX Plus Arcade System, consider the following:

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the unit and the wall outlet, and the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • No Display: Verify that the HDMI or VGA cable is correctly connected to both the arcade unit and your TV/monitor. Check your TV/monitor's input source setting.
  • Controls Unresponsive: Ensure joysticks are properly screwed in and the interconnection cable between Player 1 and Player 2 units is secure.
  • System Not Loading Games: Try restarting the system using the power toggle switch. If issues persist, ensure the memory card is properly inserted.
  • Vertical Sync Issues (CRT Displays): Some CRT displays may experience inconsistent vertical signals when exiting games. This can be display-specific.
