Important Safety Instructions

Please read this manual carefully before operating your Homtronics Dehumidifier. Keep these instructions for future reference.

• Always place the dehumidifier on a level, stable surface.
• Do not block the air inlet or outlet. Maintain at least 20cm (8 inches) clearance around the unit.
• Do not immerse the unit, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet before cleaning, maintenance, or when not in use.
• Do not operate the dehumidifier if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the unit malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Use only the power adapter supplied with the unit.
• Do not use the dehumidifier in extremely cold or hot environments. Optimal operating temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F).

Key Components:

• Control Panel: Touch-sensitive buttons for power, timer, and LED light control.
• Air Inlet/Outlet: Grilles for air circulation.
• Water Tank: Transparent, detachable reservoir for collected moisture.
• Power Port: Connection for the power adapter.

Setup

Follow these steps to set up your dehumidifier for first use.

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the dehumidifier and all packaging materials from the box.
2. Placement: Place the unit upright on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 20cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides of the dehumidifier for proper airflow. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
3. Power Connection: Insert the power adapter into the power port on the back of the dehumidifier, then plug the adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
4. Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is correctly seated in the base of the unit.

Operating Instructions

Learn how to operate your Homtronics Dehumidifier.

Power On/Off:

• Press the Power button (symbol: circle with vertical line) on the control panel to turn the unit on or off.

Timer Function:

The dehumidifier features an 8, 12, or 24-hour timer to optimize energy usage.

• Short press the Timer button (symbol: clock) repeatedly to cycle through timer settings:
  1. First press: 8-hour timer selected, display shows "8H".
  2. Second press: 12-hour timer selected, display shows "12H".
  3. Third press: 24-hour timer selected, display shows "24H".
  4. Fourth press: Timer function turned off.

7-Color LED Light:

• Press the Light button (symbol: light bulb) to turn the LED lights on or off, or to cycle through the 7 available colors.

Sleep Mode:

For ultra-quiet operation, activate the sleep mode.

• Press the Sleep Mode button (symbol: crescent moon) to activate or deactivate sleep mode. In sleep mode, the unit operates at a reduced noise level (below 44dB).

Auto Shut-Off:

The dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature for safety and convenience.

• When the 60oz (1.7L) water tank is full, or if it is improperly placed, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off. A red indicator light will flash to alert you that the tank needs to be emptied or re-seated.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.

Emptying the Water Tank:

1. When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically stop operating and the red indicator light will flash.
2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the base of the dehumidifier.
3. Pour out the collected water.
4. Rinse the water tank with clean water. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
5. Slide the empty water tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks securely into place. The unit will resume operation if it was on.

Cleaning the Dehumidifier:

• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Air Inlet/Outlet: Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner attachment to gently remove any dust or debris from the air inlet and outlet grilles.
• Internal Components: Do not attempt to clean internal components beyond the water tank.
