Important Safety Information

  • Power Supply: Use only the specified power adapter. Ensure the voltage matches your local power supply.

Setup

Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove the KRONOS3-61 from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage.

Connecting Power

  1. Ensure the KRONOS3-61 is powered off.
  2. Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the workstation.
  3. Plug the AC adapter into a suitable power outlet.

Audio Connections

The KRONOS3-61 offers various audio output options. Connect the main stereo outputs (L/MONO, R) to your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface using standard 1/4-inch TS cables.

For monitoring, connect headphones to the PHONES jack on the front panel.

USB and MIDI Connections

  • USB: Connect the KRONOS3-61 to a computer via the USB B port for MIDI and audio data transfer. This allows for integration with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs).
  • MIDI: Use the MIDI IN/OUT/THRU ports to connect to external MIDI devices such as other synthesizers, drum machines, or MIDI controllers.

The workstation also supports connecting a sustain pedal (damper pedal) for enhanced playability. While not included, compatible pedals can be connected to the DAMPER jack.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

To power on the KRONOS3-61, press the POWER switch located on the rear panel. To power off, press and hold the POWER switch until the unit shuts down completely.

Navigating the TouchView Display

The 8-inch color TouchView display is the primary interface for controlling the workstation. Use your finger to tap, drag, and swipe through menus, parameters, and settings. The display provides visual feedback for all operations.

Selecting Sounds (Programs and Combinations)
