3. Setup & Installation

3.1 Mounting the Display
The Elite FS unit can be mounted using the included bracket for surface or flush mounting. Ensure a stable and accessible location with good visibility from your operating position.
3.2 Power Connection
Connect the power cable to a 12 Volt DC power source, ensuring proper polarity. Use the provided fuse and fuse holder for circuit protection. It is recommended to connect directly to a dedicated marine battery or a fused distribution panel.
3.3 Transducer Connection
Connect the Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer cable to the corresponding port on the back of the Elite FS unit. Ensure the connection is secure and watertight. The transducer should be mounted in a location that provides a clear view of the water column, free from obstructions and turbulence.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button (usually located on the right side of the unit) until the Lowrance logo appears to power on the device. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the shutdown options appear, then select 'Power Off'.
4.2 Navigating the Interface
The Elite FS features a responsive multi-touch screen. You can navigate through menus and screens by tapping, swiping, and pinching. Physical buttons on the side provide quick access to common functions and menu navigation.

4.3 Sonar Functions (Active Imaging 3-in-1)
The Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer provides three primary sonar views:
- CHIRP Sonar: Traditional sonar view for identifying fish arches and bottom composition.
- SideScan: Provides a wide, high-resolution view of structure and fish to the sides of your boat.
- DownScan Imaging: Offers a picture-like view of structure directly below your boat.
- FishReveal: Combines CHIRP sonar fish arches with high-resolution DownScan Imaging views, making fish easier to identify.

4.4 Chartplotter Functions
Utilize the preloaded C-MAP Contour charts for detailed navigation. You can set waypoints, create routes, and view high-resolution bathymetric contours to pinpoint fishing hotspots.
