4. Product Overview
The EPOMAKER TH85 keyboard features a compact 75% layout with 84 keys, a gasket-mount structure, and dynamic RGB lighting. It supports three connection modes and is fully configurable via QMK/VIA software.

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer or a wall adapter. The keyboard features a 4000mAh battery.
5.2 Connectivity
The TH85 supports three connection modes: Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz Wireless, and USB-C Wired. A mode switch is located on the top edge of the keyboard.

5.2.1 Bluetooth Connection
- Flip the mode switch on the top edge of the keyboard to 'BT'.
- The indicator light (usually on the Q/W/E keys) will flash slowly.
- Hold Fn + Q (or W or E) until the indicator flashes faster, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device (PC, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for 'TH85-1' (or 'TH85-2', 'TH85-3').
- Select the keyboard to connect. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing.
- To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, press Fn + Q/W/E.
5.2.2 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Flip the mode switch on the top edge of the keyboard to '2.4G'.
- The indicator light (usually on the R key) will flash slowly.
- Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver stored under the adjustable kickstand on the keyboard's underside.
- Insert the receiver into a USB port on your computer.
- Hold Fn + R until the indicator flashes faster, indicating pairing mode.
- The keyboard will automatically connect to the receiver. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing.
5.2.3 USB-C Wired Connection
- Flip the mode switch on the top edge of the keyboard to 'USB'.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to your computer's USB port.
- The keyboard will be recognized automatically by your operating system.

5.3 Operating System Switch
The keyboard has a dedicated switch for Mac and Windows compatibility, located near the USB-C port. Ensure it is set to the correct operating system for optimal functionality.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Key Functions and Shortcuts
The TH85 keyboard features a standard 75% layout. Many functions are accessed using the Fn key in combination with other keys.
- Fn + Space: Reset the keyboard to factory settings.
- Fn + L_WIN: Lock/Unlock Windows key.
- Fn + Enter: Check battery level (keys Q-P will light up to indicate percentage).
- Fn + Home: Turn ON/OFF backlight.
- Fn + Backspace: Toggle backlight effect.
- Fn + PgUp: Increase backlight brightness.
- Fn + PgDn: Decrease backlight brightness.
- Fn + Left Arrow: Decrease backlight effect speed.
- Fn + Right Arrow: Increase backlight effect speed.
- Fn + End: Toggle logo light effect.

6.2 QMK/VIA Customization
The EPOMAKER TH85 is compatible with QMK/VIA software, allowing for extensive customization of key functions, macros, and lighting effects. Download the VIA software from the official EPOMAKER website or use the web-based VIA configurator.
- Key Remapping: Change the function of any key to suit your workflow or gaming style.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
To clean your keyboard, power it off and disconnect it from your device. Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a small amount of water or isopropyl alcohol. For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean dust or debris from the switches.
7.2 Keycap and Switch Replacement
The TH85 features hot-swappable switches, allowing you to easily change switches without soldering. Use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and the switch puller to remove switches.
- Gently pull the keycap straight up using the keycap puller.
- Use the switch puller to grasp the switch firmly and pull it straight up.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB and press down until it clicks into place.
- Place the desired keycap onto the new switch stem.

8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Connectivity Issues
- Keyboard not connecting via Bluetooth/2.4GHz: Ensure the mode switch is set correctly. For Bluetooth, ensure the indicator is flashing rapidly (pairing mode). For 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted and the indicator is flashing rapidly. Try re-pairing the device.
- Intermittent connection: Ensure the keyboard is within range of your device. Avoid interference from other wireless devices. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Wired connection not recognized: Try a different USB-C port or cable. Ensure the mode switch is set to 'USB'.
8.2 Backlight Issues
- Backlight not turning on: Ensure the backlight is not turned off (Fn + Home). Check battery level.
- Backlight flickering: Ensure the keyboard is fully charged.
8.3 Reset to Factory Settings
If you experience persistent issues or wish to revert all settings, you can perform a factory reset:
- Hold Fn + Space for 3-5 seconds until the keyboard lights indicate a reset.
