4. Setup Guide

4.1 SIM Card and Data Plan

The camera includes a built-in, non-detachable 4G LTE SIM card. This SIM card supports Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T networks within the U.S. only. It comes with 300MB of trial data for initial use. Once the trial data is consumed, a data plan subscription is required via the companion mobile application. Data plans are available starting from $19.9 per month to $169.0 per year per camera. Each camera requires a separate data plan.

4.2 Mobile App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the 'Ucon' app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Create an account and log in.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your SEHMUA RBX-H12 camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or manually entering its device ID.
  4. Ensure your camera is powered on and within an area with 4G LTE coverage during the pairing process.

4.3 Mounting the Camera

The camera offers two primary mounting methods:

  • Direct Tree Mount: Use the provided strap to secure the camera directly to a tree. Ensure the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum sunlight.
  • Separate Mount: Utilize the mounting bracket and screws to attach the camera to a fence post or wall. The solar panel can be positioned separately using its own bracket and connected to the camera via the included 10ft cable for optimal sun exposure.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Network Connection:
Ensure the camera is in an area with 4G LTE coverage. Check the signal strength indicator in the Ucon app. Verify that your data plan is active and has sufficient data. The built-in SIM card only supports local use in the U.S.
  • Camera Not Powering On:
Ensure the solar panel is receiving adequate sunlight. If the camera has been in low light conditions for an extended period, connect it to a power source using the USB charging cable to fully charge the internal battery.
  • No Motion Detection:
Check the camera's settings in the Ucon app to ensure motion detection is enabled and sensitivity is appropriately set. Ensure the PIR sensor is not obstructed.
  • App Connectivity Issues:
Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection. Try restarting the app or reinstalling it. Confirm the camera's firmware is up to date via the app.
