Setup

The Akko 5098B keyboard supports three connection modes: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth.

1. USB-C Wired Connection

  1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. The keyboard will be automatically detected and ready for use.

2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver.
  2. Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Ensure the keyboard's mode switch (usually on the back or side) is set to 2.4G mode.
  4. The keyboard should connect automatically. If not, press Fn + 4 to initiate pairing.

3. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Ensure the keyboard's mode switch is set to Bluetooth mode.
  2. On your computer or device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  3. On the keyboard, press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for one of the three available Bluetooth channels. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
  4. Select "Akko 5098B" from the list of available Bluetooth devices on your computer/device.
  5. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing.

Operating Instructions

1. Keyboard Layout and Function Keys

The Akko 5098B features an 1800 compact layout, which includes a dedicated number pad while maintaining a smaller footprint than a full-size keyboard. Standard function keys (F1-F12) are accessible, often in combination with the Fn key for secondary functions.

3. Scroll Wheel Functionality

5. Hot-Swappable PCB

  2. Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight.
