3.2 Calibration
For optimal accuracy, it is recommended to calibrate the scale periodically or if you suspect inaccurate readings. Use the included 100-gram calibration weight.
- Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface and powered on.
- Press and hold the 'M' (Mode) button until "CAL" appears on the display.
- The display will then show "100.0g". Place the 100-gram calibration weight precisely in the center of the weighing platform.
- Wait for the display to stabilize and show "PASS". This indicates successful calibration.
- Remove the weight. The scale is now calibrated and ready for use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To power on: Briefly press the power button (usually the 'T' or Tare button, or a dedicated power button if present). The display will illuminate.
- To enter sleep mode: Press and hold the 'T' (Tare) button for approximately 3 seconds. The display will turn off.
- To wake from sleep mode: Briefly touch any button.
- Automatic Shut-off: The scale will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
4.2 Changing Units and Modes
The scale features multiple modes for different brewing methods. Use the 'M' (Mode) button to cycle through them.
- Manual Mode (M): For general weighing. The timer and tare functions are manually controlled.
- Pour Over Mode (P): Designed for pour-over brewing. The scale will auto-tare when a vessel is placed on it and the timer will start automatically when liquid is detected.
- Espresso Mode (E): Optimized for espresso extraction. The scale will auto-tare when a cup is placed under the portafilter, and the timer will start automatically upon detection of the first drops of espresso.

4.3 Tare Function
The tare function allows you to reset the scale to zero after placing a container on it, so you only measure the weight of the contents. Briefly press the 'T' (Tare) button to activate the tare function. The display will show "0.0g".
4.4 Timer Function
In Pour Over and Espresso modes, the timer starts automatically when the scale detects the beginning of the pour or extraction. In Manual mode, the timer can be started and stopped manually by pressing the 'L' (Timer) button.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
The scale features an easy-clean surface. Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaners. Ensure the USB-C port is dry before charging.
5.2 Charging
Recharge the scale when the battery indicator on the display shows low battery. Use the provided Type-C charging cable. A full charge provides up to 15 hours of detached working time.
5.3 Storage
When not in use, store the scale in its protective silicone case and the included carrying case to prevent scratches and damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting
- Scale not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the scale to the charging cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable, and level surface.
- Perform a calibration as described in Section 3.2.
- Ensure no objects are touching the scale or the weighing platform during use.
- Display not responding: Try turning the scale off and on again. If the issue persists, ensure the battery is charged.
- Timer not starting automatically: Verify that the scale is in either Pour Over (P) or Espresso (E) mode. Ensure there is sufficient liquid flow to trigger the sensor.
