5. Operating Instructions

The Jawploy AP-25 offers multiple modes for various food types and sealing needs.

5.1. Vacuum Sealing Bags (Internal Vacuum)

  1. Prepare the Bag: Place your food item into a vacuum sealer bag, ensuring the open end is clean and dry. Leave at least 2-3 inches of space between the food and the open end.
  2. Position the Bag: Open the lid of the vacuum sealer. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat across the sealing strip and within the drip tray area. Use the bag fixing clips to hold it in place.
  3. Close the Lid: Firmly press down on both sides of the lid until you hear a click, indicating it is securely locked.
  4. Select Food Mode: Press the 'FOOD' button to cycle through Dry, Moist, Moist+, or Soft modes, depending on your food type.
  5. Start Sealing: Press the 'START/STOP' button. The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag. The LED display will show a countdown.
  6. Release and Remove: Once the countdown finishes and you hear a sound, press the release buttons on the sides to open the lid. Carefully remove your sealed bag.

5.2. Seal Only Function

Use this mode to seal bags without vacuuming, ideal for delicate items or creating custom-sized bags from rolls.

  1. Position the Bag: Place the open end of the bag (or the edge of a roll) over the sealing strip.
  2. Close the Lid: Securely close the lid until it clicks.
  3. Activate Seal: Press the 'SEAL Only' button. The machine will heat and seal the bag.
  4. Release: Once the sealing is complete, open the lid and remove the bag.

5.3. Pulse Function (Manual Vacuum Control)

This mode provides manual control over the vacuum process, perfect for fragile items like chips or bread that could be crushed by full vacuum.

  1. Prepare and Position: Place your fragile food item in a bag and position it in the vacuum chamber as described in Section 5.1. Close the lid.
  2. Pulse Vacuum: Press and hold the 'PULSE' button. The machine will vacuum as long as the button is held. Release the button when the desired vacuum level is reached.
  3. Seal: Immediately press the 'SEAL Only' button to seal the bag.
  4. Release: Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

5.4. External Vacuum (for Canisters and Jars)

Use the accessory hose to vacuum seal compatible canisters and jars.

  1. Connect Hose: Insert one end of the vacuum hose into the external suction nozzle on the machine.
  2. Connect to Container: Attach the other end of the hose to the vacuum port on your compatible canister or jar.
  3. Select Canister Mode: Press the 'FOOD' button repeatedly until the 'Canister' indicator lights up (if available, otherwise use 'Dry' mode for general vacuum).
  4. Start Vacuum: Press the 'START/STOP' button. The machine will vacuum the air from the container.
