2. Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions during installation, operation, and maintenance of the micro inverter:
- Installation must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations.
- Do not attempt to repair the inverter yourself. Contact qualified service personnel.
- Ensure the inverter is disconnected from all power sources (DC and AC) before performing any service or maintenance.
- The inverter can become hot during operation. Avoid touching it directly.
- Do not immerse the inverter in water or expose it to excessive moisture.
- Ensure proper grounding of the inverter.
- Keep children away from the inverter and solar installation area.
3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Deye Micro Inverter:
3.1 Mounting the Inverter
Mount the inverter in a well-ventilated area, preferably under the solar panel or on a suitable mounting structure. Ensure adequate clearance for air circulation around the unit.

3.2 Electrical Connections
Refer to the diagram below for a simplified installation overview. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized.

Figure 4: Simplified installation diagram. This diagram illustrates the three main steps: 1. Direct connection of solar modules to the micro inverter inputs. 2. Connecting the AC output to the solar cable. 3. Plugging the solar cable into a standard wall outlet.
- DC Input Connection: Connect the DC cables from your solar panels to the PV1+ / PV1- and PV2+ / PV2- inputs on the inverter. Ensure correct polarity. The inverter supports two independent MPPT inputs.
- AC Output Connection: Connect the provided 5-meter Schuko cable to the AC output port of the inverter.
- Grid Connection: Plug the Schuko cable into a suitable and properly grounded wall outlet.

3.3 WiFi Setup
The inverter includes integrated WiFi for monitoring performance. Refer to the separate Deye monitoring app instructions for setting up the WiFi connection and accessing real-time data.
4. Operating Instructions
Once installed and connected, the Deye Micro Inverter will automatically begin operation when sufficient sunlight is available to the solar panels. The inverter converts the DC power from the panels into AC power, which is then fed into your home's electrical grid.
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
The inverter utilizes MPPT technology to continuously optimize the power output from your solar panels, ensuring maximum energy harvest even under varying conditions like partial shading or changing temperatures.

5. Maintenance
The Deye Micro Inverter is designed for minimal maintenance. However, regular checks can help ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the inverter and all cables for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
- Cleaning: Keep the inverter's cooling fins free from dust, dirt, and debris to ensure proper heat dissipation. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly check the inverter's performance via the WiFi monitoring system to identify any anomalies.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the inverter is not exposed to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods if not designed for such exposure. The IP67 rating provides protection against dust and temporary immersion in water.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Deye Micro Inverter, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power output | No sunlight; DC input not connected; AC output not connected; Grid outage | Check sunlight conditions; Verify DC connections; Verify AC connection to grid; Check grid status |
| Low power output | Partial shading on panels; Dirty panels; Faulty panel; Inverter overheating | Clear shading; Clean panels; Inspect panels for damage; Ensure proper ventilation around inverter |
| WiFi connection issues | Incorrect network settings; Router too far; Signal interference | Reconfigure WiFi settings; Move router closer or use extender; Reduce interference sources |
| Inverter indicator light off | No power (DC or AC); Internal fault | Check all power connections; If problem persists, contact support |
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer support for further assistance.
