This image provides a quick visual summary of the setup and initial operation steps, including adding oil and connecting power.

  2. Connect Smoke Tube:
    • Connect one end of the smoke tube to the "Outlet Flue" port on the device.
    • Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect Power:
    • Connect the power cords to the "Power Supply DC12V" socket on the device.
    • Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's 12V battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the device is set up, follow these steps to perform a leak test:

  1. Prepare the Vehicle System:
    • Identify the system to be tested (e.g., intake, EVAP).
    • Disconnect the relevant pipe or hose from the system.
    • Use the appropriate adaptor (intake adaptor core or inflatable adaptor) to seal the opening of the system.
  2. Start the Device:
    • Press the Power On/Off switch to turn on the device. The "AIR MODE" indicator light will illuminate.
    • Allow the device to run in Air Mode for a few seconds to ensure proper airflow.
  3. Initiate Smoke Generation:
    • Switch the device to "SMOKE MODE". The "SMOKE MODE" indicator light will illuminate, and smoke will begin to generate from the smoke tube.
    • Insert the smoke tube into the sealed system via the adaptor.
    • Observe the system for smoke escaping, which indicates a leak.
