Figure 4: The grinder disassembled for easy cleaning, showing the included brush.
- Disassembly: The D6 PLUS is designed for easy, tool-free disassembly. Simply unscrew the grounds bin, remove the handle, and carefully separate the internal components.
- Cleaning: Use the included cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and internal parts. Do not use water for cleaning, as this can damage the burrs and internal mechanisms.
- Reassembly: Reassemble the grinder by following the setup steps in reverse order.
6. Troubleshooting
- Uneven Grind: Ensure the grind adjustment dial is securely set and has not shifted during grinding. Check for any foreign objects lodged in the burrs that might impede consistent grinding.
- Difficulty Grinding: If the handle is difficult to turn, the grind setting may be too fine for the type of bean, or the burrs may be clogged. Try a slightly coarser setting or clean the burrs.
- No Grounds Produced: Verify that coffee beans have been loaded into the hopper and that the internal components are correctly assembled.
