1. Introduction

The MELONARE SD-1-2R Wireless In-Ear Monitor System provides professional-grade audio monitoring for musicians, bands, and studio environments. This system features both stereo and mono monitoring modes, 10 tunable frequencies for interference-free operation, and a robust 200ft operating range. 3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your MELONARE SD-1-2R system:

  1. Connect Audio Source:

    Connect your audio source device (e.g., mixer, instrument) to the audio input jacks (6.35mm/XLR combo) of the transmitter using appropriate cables. Ensure the audio source device is turned on.

  2. Power On Transmitter:

    Connect the power adapter to the DC IN jack on the transmitter and plug it into a power outlet. Press the power button on the transmitter to turn it on. The LCD display will illuminate.

  3. Power On Bodypack Receivers and Automatic Pairing:

    Insert the provided AA batteries into the bodypack receivers. Turn on the bodypack receivers. They will automatically pair with the transmitter. The display on the bodypack receivers will show the channel and signal strength once paired.

  4. Connect Earphones:

    Plug the earphones into the PHONE jack on each bodypack receiver.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Selecting Monitoring Mode (Stereo/Mono)

The system supports both stereo and mono monitoring modes. Stereo mode provides a wider soundstage, while mono mode offers a summed, balanced signal. You can switch modes using two methods:

  1. Method 1 (Transmitter):

    Press the SET button on the main transmitter unit to toggle between stereo and mono modes. The LCD display will indicate the current mode (S for Stereo, M for Mono).

  2. Method 2 (Bodypack Receiver):

    Press the power button on the bodypack receiver to switch between stereo and mono modes. Note: When the transmitter is in stereo mode, both stereo and mono options are available on the bodypack. However, if the transmitter is set to mono, the bodypack will default to mono regardless of its setting.

4.2. Adjusting Volume Levels

Adjust the input volume for the left and right channels using the VOL L and VOL R knobs on the transmitter. The overall output volume to your earphones is controlled by the volume knob on the bodypack receiver.

4.3. Frequency Selection

The system offers 10 frequency-hopping channels to avoid interference. Use the PREV and NEXT buttons on the transmitter to cycle through available channels. The bodypack receivers will automatically sync to the selected channel.

4.4. Connecting Multiple Receivers

A single transmitter can connect to multiple bodypack receivers simultaneously, allowing for seamless team collaboration and monitoring for multiple performers.

  • Cause: Volume levels too low.
  • Solution: Increase volume on both the transmitter (VOL L/R) and the bodypack receiver.
  • Cause: Audio source not sending signal.
  • Solution: Verify audio source is active and connected correctly to the transmitter.
Interference or Static Noise
  • Cause: Nearby wireless devices or strong RF signals.
  • Solution: Change the operating frequency channel on the transmitter (and ensure receivers sync).
  • Cause: Operating beyond range.
  • Solution: Reduce distance between transmitter and receiver. Ensure line of sight is maintained.
  • Cause: Loose antenna connection.
  • Solution: Check that the antenna on the transmitter is securely attached.
Bodypack Receiver Not Pairing
  • Cause: Transmitter not on or on a different channel.
  • Solution: Ensure transmitter is powered on and set to the desired channel. Turn the bodypack off and on again to re-initiate pairing.
  • Cause: Low batteries in receiver.
  • Solution: Replace batteries in the bodypack receiver.
