Operating System Switch
The keyboard has a dedicated switch to toggle between Windows/Android and Mac/iOS modes. Ensure this switch is set correctly for your operating system to ensure proper key mapping and functionality.

Operating Instructions
Basic Usage
The Keychron Q6 HE functions as a standard 100% layout keyboard. All keys are pre-programmed with their standard functions. The Hall Effect Gateron double-rail magnetic switches provide a responsive and consistent typing experience.
Function Keys
The top row of keys (F1-F12) serves as function keys. Depending on your operating system and settings, they may require pressing the 'Fn' key simultaneously to activate their secondary multimedia or system control functions.
Backlight Control
The keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting. Use the dedicated keys or the web-based configurator to adjust brightness, lighting effects, and colors.
Customization
Web-Based Configurator (Keychron Launcher)
The Keychron Q6 HE is highly customizable through its web-based configurator. This allows for advanced settings without installing software.
- Access: Open your web browser and navigate to the Keychron Launcher website (refer to the official Keychron website for the exact URL).
- Key Remapping: Change the function of any key to suit your workflow or gaming needs.
- Macros: Create complex sequences of key presses and assign them to a single key.
- Lighting Effects: Customize RGB lighting patterns, colors, and brightness.

Adjustable Actuation Points
The Hall Effect switches allow you to precisely set the actuation point (the distance a key needs to travel to register a press) for each individual key.
- Range: Adjust actuation from 0.2 mm to 3.8 mm with 0.1 mm sensitivity.
- Benefit: Shorter actuation points can provide faster response times for gaming, while longer points can reduce accidental presses for typing.

Rapid Trigger
Rapid Trigger functionality allows keys to activate on press and reset immediately on release, regardless of a fixed reset point. This provides extreme responsiveness, particularly beneficial in competitive gaming.
- Activation: Key registers as active as soon as it begins to be pressed.
- Reset: Key registers as reset as soon as it begins to be released.

One Key, Four Actions
This advanced feature allows you to assign up to four different actions to a single key based on the depth of the key press.
- Example: A light press could trigger one action (e.g., walking), while a deeper press triggers another (e.g., running).
- Configuration: Set specific actuation depths for each of the four actions within the web-based configurator.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the performance and appearance of your keyboard:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the keycaps and frame.
- For deeper cleaning, use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Keycap and Switch Replacement
The Keychron Q6 HE features hot-swappable switches, allowing for easy replacement without soldering.
- Keycap Removal: Use the provided keycap puller to gently remove keycaps by hooking the puller onto the keycap and pulling straight up.
- Switch Removal: Use the provided switch puller to carefully grip the top and bottom clips of the switch and pull straight up.
- Installation: Align the new switch's pins with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent. Reattach keycaps by pressing them onto the switch stem.

Troubleshooting
Connectivity Issues
- Keyboard not responding (Wired): Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
- 2.4 GHz connection unstable: Ensure the 2.4 GHz receiver is plugged directly into a USB port, ideally on the front of your computer or via the extension adapter to avoid interference. Keep the keyboard close to the receiver.
- Bluetooth pairing failure: Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode (Fn + 1/2/3 held for 4 seconds). Remove any previous pairings of the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth settings and try pairing again. Ensure the keyboard's OS switch is set correctly.
- Keyboard goes to sleep and doesn't reconnect: Press the spacebar or any key to wake the keyboard. If it doesn't reconnect, try toggling the connectivity switch on the keyboard or re-pairing.
Key Functionality Issues
- Keys not registering: Check if the keycap or switch is properly seated. If a specific key is not working, try replacing the switch for that key.
- Incorrect key output: Verify the operating system switch on the keyboard is set to the correct position (Win/Android or Mac/iOS). Check your custom key mappings in the Keychron Launcher if you have made changes.
- RGB lighting not working: Ensure the keyboard is powered. Check lighting settings in the Keychron Launcher or use the onboard lighting control keys.
