The myFirst Camera Insta 20 is a hybrid digital and instant print camera designed for children. It captures 16MP photos and 1080P videos, offering immediate thermal printing without ink. Key features include a PixTure OLED screen, dual lenses for selfies, and various creative filters.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Camera

Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the camera's Micro USB port and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The charging indicator on the PixTure OLED screen will show progress.

4.2 Inserting Micro SD Card

The camera supports Micro SD cards for storing digital photos and videos. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the camera. Gently insert the 4GB Micro SD card (included) until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted correctly to avoid damage.

4.3 Loading Thermal Paper

The myFirst Camera Insta 20 uses thermal paper for instant printing. Follow these steps to load a new roll:

  1. Push the bottom button on the camera to release the cover case.
  2. Remove the cover case and open the latch for the roll holder.
  3. Place a new roll of thermal paper or thermal sticker paper into the compartment. Ensure the paper feeds correctly, with the printing side facing the thermal print head.
  4. Close the latch and replace the cover case until it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To power on the camera, press and hold the power button located on the top of the device until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen shuts down.

5.2 Taking Photos

Once powered on, the camera defaults to photo mode. Frame your shot using the main display. Press the shutter button (usually a prominent button near the top) to capture a photo. The PixTure OLED screen may display fun emojis or status updates.

5.3 Recording Videos

Navigate to video mode using the menu buttons. Press the shutter button once to start recording and again to stop. Videos are saved to the Micro SD card.

5.5 Instant Printing

After taking a photo, you can choose to print it instantly. The camera uses thermal printing technology to produce black and white prints in approximately 9 seconds. Simply press the dedicated print button. If using thermal sticker paper, the prints will have an adhesive backing.

5.6 Viewing Photos/Videos

Access the playback menu to view your captured photos and videos stored on the Micro SD card. Use the navigation buttons to scroll through your media.

5.7 Transferring Files

To transfer photos and videos to a computer, connect the camera using the USB cable. The camera will appear as a removable drive, allowing you to copy files directly. Alternatively, you can remove the Micro SD card and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer.
