2. Cutting Techniques
- Pruning branches: Support the branch to prevent it from splitting. Make a small undercut first, then cut from the top.
- Cutting wood: Place the chainsaw firmly against the workpiece. Let the saw do the work; do not force it.
- Avoid binding: Ensure the cut material does not pinch the chain. If cutting larger pieces, make relief cuts.
- Be cautious of falling branches: Always be aware of the direction a branch will fall and ensure your path is clear.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your VONROC Mini Chainsaw.
- Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and clean the chainsaw thoroughly. Use a brush to remove sawdust and debris from the chain, guide bar, and motor housing.
- Chain tension: Periodically check and adjust the chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be snug but still movable by hand.
- Chain sharpening: A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary. Refer to a professional if unsure.
- Guide bar maintenance: Clean the guide bar groove to remove any accumulated debris. Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
- Storage: Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. Always attach the blade cover before storage. Remove the battery when storing for extended periods.
