Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Hiwill soundbar, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the surfaces of the soundbar and subwoofer with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
- Placement: Place the soundbar and subwoofer on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the units to prevent overheating. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with high humidity.
- Power: Unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
- Handling: Handle the units with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting them to strong impacts.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Hiwill soundbar, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Sound:
- Ensure the soundbar and TV are powered on and not muted.
- Verify the correct input source is selected on the soundbar (e.g., HDMI eARC, Optical, Bluetooth).
- Check all cable connections (HDMI, Optical, AUX) are secure.
- If using HDMI eARC/ARC, ensure your TV's audio output settings are set to 'PASSTHROUGH' or 'External Speaker'.
- Poor Sound Quality / Unclear Dialogue:
- Adjust the bass and treble settings using the remote control.
- Try different EQ modes (Music, Movie, News) to see if one improves the audio for your content.
- Ensure the subwoofer is properly connected and powered.
- Check for any obstructions between the soundbar and your listening position.
- Remote Control Not Responding:
- Replace the batteries in the remote control.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the soundbar.
- LED Display Brightness:
- The display is designed to automatically turn off after 30 seconds. If it remains on and is too bright, ensure your firmware is up to date, as recent updates include reduced display brightness.
