1. Introduction and Overview

2. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this manual for future reference. Ensure the ice maker is placed on a stable, level surface. Do not block ventilation openings. Dispose of the appliance properly in accordance with federal and local regulations, as it contains flammable refrigerant (R600a).

Always unplug the ice maker before cleaning or performing any maintenance. Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup

Before first use, ensure the unit has been upright for at least 24 hours. Place the ice maker on a spacious, level countertop, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit.

4.1 Water Refill Options

The Gevi ice maker supports two methods for water refilling:

  1. Manual Pour: Open the lid and pour water directly into the reservoir. Ensure water level does not exceed the MAX fill line.

  3. Auto Water Supply: Connect the included 10ft 1/4” hose to a water supply line. This allows for continuous water refill without manual intervention.

5. Operating Instructions

Once water is added and the unit is plugged in, press the 'On/Off' button on the control panel to begin ice production. The indicator light will illuminate to show the ice maker is active.

The ice maker can produce up to 38 pounds of ice in 24 hours. It features a 4.8-pound ice basket and a 2.8L (3 quarts) water reservoir. The unit is designed with extra thick insulation and double-layer space insulation to help retain ice longer.

The ice maker operates with low noise due to its high-performance compressor and muted exhaust fan. It includes safety features that automatically stop ice production if the water runs out or the ice basket is full.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and descaling are essential for optimal performance and longevity of your ice maker.

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning cycle. To activate, ensure the water reservoir is filled, then press the 'Clean' button on the control panel. The unit will run a cleaning cycle to help prevent mineral buildup.

6.2 Descaling

If you live in an area with hard water, descaling should be performed more frequently. Refer to the provided map for recommended descaling frequency based on water hardness levels.

6.3 Draining the Unit

To drain the unit for cleaning or storage, locate the drainage pipes at the back of the ice maker. Place the pipes over a sink or bucket to allow water to drain completely.

7. Troubleshooting

If the ice maker is not producing ice or is experiencing issues, check the following:

  • No Ice Production: Ensure the unit is plugged in, the 'On/Off' button is pressed, and the water reservoir is filled. Check for any error indicator lights.
  • Ice Basket Full: If the 'Ice Full' indicator light is on, empty the ice basket. The machine will resume production automatically.
  • Add Water: If the 'Add Water' indicator light is on, refill the water reservoir. The machine will resume production automatically.
  • Unusual Noise: The machine is designed for low noise operation. If unusual loud noises occur, ensure the unit is on a stable surface and contact customer support if the issue persists.
  • Ice Melting Quickly: While the unit has thick insulation, it is not a freezer. For long-term storage, transfer ice to a freezer or insulated ice chest.
