Maintenance

Backpack Care

To clean your backpack, hand wash with mild soap and water. Do not use bleach or harsh detergents. Air dry thoroughly away from direct sunlight. Ensure all zippers are closed before washing. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.

Hydration Reservoir Care

After each use, rinse the reservoir and hose thoroughly with warm water. For deeper cleaning, use a bottle brush and mild soap. Ensure the reservoir is completely dry before storing to prevent mold growth. Osprey offers cleaning kits for optimal maintenance.

Troubleshooting

Hydration Flow Issues

If you experience reduced water flow, check the bite valve for blockages or ensure it is fully open. Inspect the hose for kinks or obstructions. Make sure the reservoir is properly filled and not creating a vacuum.

Fit Discomfort

If the pack feels uncomfortable, re-adjust the shoulder straps, sternum strap, and waistbelt. Ensure the load is evenly distributed and the pack sits high on your back. The AirScape backpanel is designed for comfort, but proper adjustment is key.
