Important Safety Instructions

Please read and understand this entire owner's manual, including all safety information, before plugging in or using this product. Failure to do so could result in fire, electric shock, or serious personal injury.

General Safety Warnings:

• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

Over-Heating Protection:

The unit features a built-in overheating safety device. If the internal temperature exceeds a safe limit, the heater will automatically shut off. The air outlet is strategically positioned at the top of the stove to prevent fuselage overheating and potential high-temperature hazards.

Setup

Unpacking and Assembly:

1. Carefully remove the unit from its packaging.
2. Ensure all components, including the main unit, remote control, and any necessary hardware for leg attachment (if applicable), are present.
3. Attach the legs to the base of the fireplace using the provided screws. Ensure they are securely fastened for stability.

Placement:

• Place the fireplace on a firm, level surface.
• Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit, especially from combustible materials (at least 3 feet from the front, and clear from sides/rear).
• The unit is freestanding and designed for indoor use.

Power Connection:

• Plug the power cord directly into a 120V AC grounded outlet. The cord is approximately 5 feet long.
• Do not use extension cords, power strips, or surge protectors with this appliance.

Operating Instructions

The R.W.FLAME electric fireplace can be operated using the control panel located behind the front doors or via the included remote control.

Control Panel & Remote Control:

The control panel offers full functionality. The remote control provides convenient operation from a distance. If the remote is misplaced, all functions can still be accessed directly on the unit.

Power On/Off:

• Press the Power button (usually marked with a circle and vertical line) on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
• When turning off, the unit may have a short delay (approx. 20 seconds) before completely shutting down.

Adjusting Flame Effects:

• Flame Color: Use the "Color A" button (or similar icon) to cycle through 4 different flame colors.
• Flame Bed Color: Use the "Color B" button (or similar icon) to cycle through 4 different log set colors.
• Flame Speed: Use the "Speed" button (or similar icon) to adjust the speed of the dancing flames through 5 settings.
• Dimmer: Use the "Dimmer" button (or similar icon) to adjust the brightness of the flame and flame bed through 5 settings.
• The unit remembers your preferred flame and log color settings when turned off and will resume them upon restart.

Heating Functions:

• Heat Settings: The heater offers two power options: 500W (low heat) and 1500W (high heat). Select the desired setting using the "Heater" button (or similar icon).
• The infrared heating system warms the room gently without drying the air.
• The heat blows from the top of the unit. Avoid placing objects directly in front of the top vent when the heater is active.

Timer Function:

• Press the "Timer" button (or similar icon) to set an automatic shut-off time.
• The timer can be set from 1 hour up to 8 hours. The unit will automatically turn off after the set duration.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Always unplug the heater before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the air intake and exhaust vents are clear of dust and debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to clean the vents periodically.

Storage:

• When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry location.
• It is recommended to store the unit in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

Troubleshooting

Heater Not Turning On:

• Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet.
• Verify that the wall outlet is functioning by plugging in another appliance.
• Ensure the power button on the unit or remote is pressed.
• If the unit has recently overheated, the overheat protection may have activated. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes, then plug it back in.

No Heat Output:

• Confirm that the heater function is activated and set to either 500W or 1500W.
• The flame effect can operate independently without heat. Ensure the heat setting is selected.

Unusual Noises:

• A slight fan noise is normal during heating operation.
• If unusual or loud noises occur, turn off and unplug the unit immediately and contact customer support.
