3. Safety Information

Important: Please read and understand all safety instructions before installation and use.

  • 5V 3-pin ARGB vs. 12V 4-pin RGB: This ARGB hub is designed exclusively for 5V 3-pin Addressable RGB devices. It is NOT compatible with 12V 4-pin RGB headers. Connecting 12V 4-pin RGB devices to the 5V 3-pin ARGB ports will cause irreversible damage to the hub and/or the connected device.
  • Correct Plug Orientation: Always ensure the device plug aligns with the corresponding pins on the connector before insertion. Incorrect orientation can bend pins and damage your ARGB device or the hub itself.
  • Power Source: Use only the provided SATA power connector to power the hub. Do not attempt to power the hub using other methods.
  • Overload Protection: The hub features individual short-circuit and overload protection for each ARGB output port. If an incorrect connection or overload occurs, only the affected port will be disabled, protecting your motherboard and other devices.
  • Environmental Conditions: Do not expose the hub to moisture, extreme temperatures, or corrosive environments.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Physical Installation

The Delta EH10 hub features a magnetic backing for easy installation within your PC case. Simply place the hub on any flat metal surface inside the case, such as behind the motherboard tray or on a drive bay. No tools or adhesives are required.

4.2 Wiring Guide

Follow these steps to connect your fans and ARGB devices to the Delta EH10 hub:

  1. Connect SATA Power: Connect the SATA power cable from your PC's power supply unit (PSU) to the SATA power input port on the Delta EH10 hub. This provides stable power to all connected fans and ARGB devices.
  2. Connect PWM Fans: Connect your 4-pin PWM fans to the FAN 1 through FAN 10 ports. Note that the fan speed signal is read only from the white FAN 1 port. All other connected fans will synchronize their speed with FAN 1.
  3. Connect ARGB Devices: Connect your 5V 3-pin ARGB devices (e.g., ARGB fans, LED strips) to the ARGB 1 through ARGB 10 ports. Ensure correct pin alignment (5V-D-GND) to prevent damage.
  4. Connect Motherboard ARGB Sync (Optional): If you wish to control ARGB lighting via your motherboard's software, connect the ARGB IN cable from the hub to a 5V 3-pin ARGB header on your motherboard.
  5. Connect Motherboard PWM Sync (Optional): If you wish to control fan speeds via your motherboard's software, connect the PWM IN cable from the hub to a 4-pin PWM fan header on your motherboard.

5. Operation

5.1 Fan Speed Control

The Delta EH10 hub allows for synchronized fan speed control. If the PWM IN cable is connected to your motherboard, fan speeds can be controlled via your motherboard's fan control software (e.g., BIOS settings, manufacturer's utility). All fans connected to the hub will follow the speed signal from the FAN 1 port.

5.2 ARGB Lighting Control

ARGB lighting can be controlled in two ways:

  • Motherboard Sync: If the ARGB IN cable is connected to a 5V 3-pin ARGB header on your motherboard, you can use your motherboard's RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASRock Polychrome Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion) to customize lighting effects across all connected ARGB devices.
  • Remote Control: If motherboard sync is not desired or available, use the included 19-key remote control to manage ARGB lighting.

5.3 Remote Control Functions

The 19-key remote control provides direct access to various lighting and fan speed settings:

  • Lock/Unlock: Click 5 times to lock, click 5 times to unlock.
  • Lock Current Light Mode: Double click to lock the current lighting mode.
  • Switch Internal and External Signals: Toggles between remote control and motherboard sync.
  • Light Button: Turns ARGB lighting on/off.
  • Light Speed Up/Down: Adjusts the speed of dynamic lighting effects.
  • Light Brightness Up/Down: Adjusts the brightness of ARGB lighting.
  • Mode Return/Forward: Cycles through available lighting modes.
  • Fan Speed Up/Down: Adjusts fan speed (if not controlled by motherboard).
  • Auto Cycle: Initiates an automatic cycle through lighting modes.
  • Color Selection Buttons: Selects static colors for ARGB lighting.

6. Maintenance

The Ocypus Delta EH10 fan hub requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure its longevity:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the hub and its connectors with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Cable Management: Ensure cables are neatly routed and not under excessive tension, which could damage connectors or the hub.
  • Environmental Conditions: Keep the hub in a dry, well-ventilated area within your PC case. Avoid environments with high humidity or extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Delta EH10 hub, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Fans Not Spinning:
    • Ensure the SATA power cable is securely connected to both the hub and the PSU.
    • Verify that the 4-pin PWM fan cables are correctly connected to the hub.
    • Check if the PWM IN cable is connected to the motherboard and if fan control settings in BIOS/software are configured correctly.
    • If using the remote, ensure fan speed is not set to minimum.
  • ARGB Lighting Not Working/Incorrect Colors:
    • Confirm that all 5V 3-pin ARGB device cables are securely connected to the hub with correct pin orientation.
    • Ensure the ARGB IN cable is connected to a 5V 3-pin ARGB header on your motherboard (if using motherboard sync). Do not connect to a 12V 4-pin RGB header.
    • If using motherboard sync, check your motherboard's RGB software for correct settings and ensure the hub is detected.
    • If using the remote, ensure the remote's signal is active and try cycling through modes or adjusting brightness.
    • If only one ARGB port is not working, the individual port protection might have activated due to a short circuit or overload. Disconnect and reconnect the device, ensuring correct orientation.
  • Remote Control Not Responding:
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the hub's IR receiver.
    • Check the remote's battery and replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the hub is not set to motherboard sync mode (use the 'Switch Internal and External Signals' button on the remote).
