3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Device

The Raynic Digital Calendar Clock is primarily powered by an AC adapter. It also supports AAA battery backup (batteries not included) to retain settings during power outages.

  1. Connect the provided USB cable to the clock's power input port.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. For battery backup, open the battery compartment on the back of the clock and insert 2 AAA batteries (not included).

3.2 Placement Options

The clock offers versatile placement options:

  • Tabletop: Utilize the sturdy built-in back bracket to stand the clock on any flat surface, such as a desk, nightstand, or shelf.
  • Wall-Mount: The clock can also be mounted on a wall. Mounting hardware is included.

4. Operating Instructions

The clock is operated using buttons located on the side. The screen displays clear labels for navigation.

4.1 Setting Date & Time

Access the 'Date & Time' menu to adjust these settings:

  • Set Time: Adjust hours and minutes.
  • Set Date: Adjust month, day, and year.
  • Time Format: Choose between 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour format.
  • Date Format: Select your preferred display (e.g., Month-Day-Year).
  • Daylight Saving Time (DST): The clock features automatic DST adjustment. Select your region (e.g., North America) for this feature to function correctly.

4.2 Display Themes

The clock offers 12 distinct display themes to suit your preference. Some themes allow for custom colors and time formats.

  • Navigate to the 'Themes' menu using the side buttons.
  • Browse through the 12 available themes, including Minimalist, Urban Tempo, Seasonal Calendar, Round Dial, Time Album, Dynamic Prompts, Word Clock, and Clock Simulation.
  • Select your desired theme.

4.3 Alarms & Reminders

Set up to 20 alarms and 20 reminders for various events.

  • Alarms: Access the 'Alarms' menu to set specific wake-up times. Choose from 18 customizable ringtones and adjust volume.
  • Reminders/Schedule: Use the 'Schedule' menu to set reminders for daily activities, medication, visits, entertainment, birthdays, or holidays. You can also customize reminder types.

4.4 Brightness Settings

Adjust the display brightness to suit your environment. The clock features a semi-automatic dimming mode.

  • Manual Settings: Manually set the brightness level (10 levels available).
  • Time Period: Configure different brightness levels for day and night, along with custom start times for each period.

The clock supports 6 different languages for the display and menu interface.

  • Insert a USB drive or TF (Micro SD) card containing your images into the designated port on the side of the clock.
