4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the efficient operation of your portable air conditioner. Follow these steps carefully.

4.1 Window Kit Installation

  1. Prepare the Window: Open the window where you intend to install the unit. The window kit is designed for both double/single-hung and sliding slash windows, typically between 26-50 inches in width/height.
  2. Assemble Window Slider Panel: Adjust the window slider panel to fit the opening of your window. Secure it in place.
  3. Attach Hose Adapters: Connect the round hose adapter to one end of the exhaust hose.
  4. Connect Exhaust Hose to Unit: Attach the other end of the exhaust hose (with adapter) to the exhaust air outlet on the back of the air conditioner unit. Twist clockwise to secure.
  5. Connect Exhaust Hose to Window Kit: Insert the hose adapter from the exhaust hose into the opening of the window slider panel. Ensure a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

4.2 Drainage Connection (for Dehumidification/Cooling)

When using the cooling or dehumidification modes, condensation will be produced. The unit has a self-evaporative system, but for continuous drainage or in high humidity environments, connect the drain hose:

  1. Locate the drain opening at the bottom rear of the unit.
  2. Connect the provided drain hose to the drain opening.
  3. Direct the other end of the drain hose into a suitable container or floor drain, ensuring it is lower than the unit's drain opening for gravity flow.

5.1 Control Panel & Remote Functions

  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Select desired fan speed.
  • Sleep Mode: Optimizes comfort during sleep by gradually increasing the set temperature and operating at a lower fan speed for reduced noise (approx. 56 dB).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Filter Cleaning

The washable filter should be cleaned regularly, typically every two weeks, or more often depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Power Off: Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Remove Filter: Locate the filter screen at the back or side of the unit. Gently pull it out.
  3. Clean Filter: Wash the filter under running water (warm, not hot) with a mild detergent if necessary. Rinse thoroughly.
