  1. Mount the Mirror Dash Cam: Securely attach the PG17 Pro unit over your existing rearview mirror using the included rubber straps. Ensure it is centered and stable.
  2. Install the Rear Camera: Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield, typically above the license plate or inside the vehicle. 3. Connect the GPS Module: Plug the GPS module into its dedicated port on the main unit. Position the GPS module on the dashboard or windshield where it has a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.

Connect the car charger to the dash cam's power input and plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). Route the power cable discreetly along the windshield and dashboard.

5. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to power and the vehicle ignition is on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off.

Recording Modes:

  • Loop Recording: Continuously records video in short segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked files are overwritten.
  • G-Sensor (Emergency Recording): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically detect the event and lock the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten. This includes 5 seconds of pre-recording before the impact.
  • Parking Monitoring: When enabled (requires a hardwire kit, search ASIN: B0BM9JL327), the dash cam will automatically record if motion or impact is detected while the vehicle is parked.
  • Time-Lapse Recording: Records video at a lower frame rate (e.g., 1fps) to compress long periods into short videos, saving storage space.

  • "Take Photo"
  • "Start Recording"
