Powering the Device

Your Runstar Blood Pressure Monitor can be powered by either AA batteries or a USB-C cable.

Cuff Placement

Proper cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings.

Ensure the cuff is placed correctly on the upper arm, approximately 2-3 cm above the elbow, with the air tube facing downwards.

  1. Sit in a chair with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Relax for at least 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Slide your arm through the cuff loop. The bottom edge of the cuff should be about 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) above your elbow.
  3. Position the air tube off-center toward the inner side of your arm, aligning it with your middle finger.
  4. Wrap the cuff snugly around your upper arm. Ensure it is not too tight or too loose. The cuff detection feature will alert you if it's not worn correctly.
  5. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at the same level as your heart.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate blood pressure reading:

  1. Ensure the cuff is correctly placed and you are in a relaxed, seated position.
  2. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will begin to inflate automatically.
  3. Remain still and do not talk or move during the measurement process.
  4. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings will be displayed on the screen.
  5. The device will automatically store the reading in the selected user's memory.

Press the 'START/STOP' button to begin the measurement. The cuff will inflate automatically.
