4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash the pizza stone, pizza cutter, wooden peels, scraper, and pizza server with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the main oven unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the pizza oven on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space (at least 6 inches) around all sides of the oven for proper ventilation. Do not place near flammable materials.
  4. Pizza Stone Installation: Place the ceramic pizza stone securely inside the oven's lower heating chamber.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V~60Hz electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Preheating the Oven:

  1. Ensure the pizza stone is inside the oven.
  2. Turn the Power Control Knob to the desired temperature setting (e.g., Max for 800°F). The red power indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Allow the oven to preheat for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until the built-in thermometer reaches the desired temperature. The green heat indicator light will turn on and off as the oven maintains temperature.

Cooking a Pizza:

  1. Once preheated, lightly dust a wooden pizza peel with flour or cornmeal to prevent sticking.
  2. Carefully transfer your prepared pizza onto the dusted peel.
  3. Using the cool-touch handles, open the oven lid.
  4. Slide the pizza from the peel onto the hot pizza stone inside the oven. Close the lid immediately.
  5. Set the Timer Knob to your desired cooking time (typically 4-6 minutes for a thin-crust pizza at 800°F).
  6. Monitor the pizza through the viewing window. Cooking times may vary based on crust thickness, toppings, and desired crispiness.
  7. When the timer rings, carefully open the lid using oven mitts and the cool-touch handles.
  8. Use a wooden pizza peel to remove the cooked pizza from the oven.
  9. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board and use the stainless steel pizza cutter to slice. Serve immediately with the pizza server.

Note: The oven can reach temperatures up to 800°F (427°C), allowing for quick cooking. Adjust cooking time and temperature based on your recipe and preferences. The pizza stone can be rotated using its side handles if needed for even cooking, but always use oven mitts.

Cooking Other Foods:

This oven is versatile and can be used for more than just pizza. Experiment with other flatbreads, quesadillas, or even reheating items that benefit from direct heat. Always ensure the food fits within the oven and does not touch the heating elements.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your Davivy Electric Pizza Oven.

  1. Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Cleaning the Pizza Stone: The ceramic pizza stone is porous and will naturally darken over time. Do not use soap or detergents on the pizza stone, as they can be absorbed and affect the taste of future pizzas. For stuck-on food, use the included stainless steel scraper to gently remove debris. For stubborn stains, you can bake the stone at a high temperature for an hour to burn off residue, then scrape. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth only if necessary, and ensure it is completely dry before next use.
  3. Cleaning the Oven Interior: Once cool, wipe the interior surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn grease, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used sparingly, ensuring no residue remains. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto heating elements.
  4. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the oven with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  5. Storage: Ensure the oven is clean and completely dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place.
