4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Front Dash Cam Installation

1. Clean Windshield: Choose a suitable location on your windshield, preferably behind the rearview mirror, to avoid obstructing your view. Clean the area thoroughly.
2. Attach Suction Mount: Secure the adjustable suction mount to the cleaned area of the windshield.
3. Mount Dash Cam: Attach the main dash cam unit to the suction mount. Adjust the camera angle to ensure the front lens captures the road ahead clearly and the interior lens covers the cabin.
4. Connect Power: Plug the car charger power cable into the dash cam's power port and then into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable neatly along the windshield edge and dashboard to avoid interference with driving.

4.2 Rear Camera Installation

The rear camera installation is simplified and does not require removing the reversing light. It connects directly to the front dash cam unit.

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable location for the rear camera, typically on the rear windshield or near the license plate area. Ensure it has a clear view of the road behind.
2. Secure Rear Camera: Use the provided 3M adhesive pad or screws to securely attach the rear camera.
3. Route Cable: Connect the rear camera cable to the rear camera and route it to the main dash cam unit. Carefully tuck the cable along the vehicle's headliner and side panels to conceal it.
4. Connect to Main Unit: Plug the rear camera cable into the designated port on the main dash cam unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on.
• It will automatically power off when the ignition is turned off.

5.2 Wi-Fi and App Control

The dash cam features built-in Wi-Fi for seamless connection to your smartphone via the "Viidure" app.

1. Download App: Scan the QR code below or visit this link to download the "Viidure" app for your iOS or Android device.
2. Activate Wi-Fi: Long press the UP button on the dash cam to activate its Wi-Fi hotspot. The Wi-Fi icon will appear on the dash cam screen.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi: On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (e.g., "ACTION CAM60def4b6dd72"). The initial password is 12345678.
4. Use App: Open the "Viidure" app. You can now view live footage, playback recorded videos, download files to your phone, and adjust camera settings.

5.3 Loop Recording

The dash cam continuously records video in segments. When the memory card is full, the oldest unprotected files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures that recording never stops due to a full card.

5.4 G-Sensor (Emergency Lock)

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These protected files serve as crucial evidence in case of an incident.

5.5 Parking Monitoring (24-Hour Protection)

For 24-hour parking monitoring, the dash cam requires a continuous power supply, typically achieved by connecting it to a hardwire kit (not included) or an external battery. There are two main modes:

5.6 Memory Card (TF Card)

• A 64GB TF card is included. The dash cam supports micro-SD cards up to 256GB, Class 10 U3 speed.
• Formatting: If formatting the TF card on a computer, ensure it is formatted to FAT32. The default exFAT format on Windows operating systems will not work with this car recorder.
