3. What's in the Box

4. Setup
4.1 Unfolding the Scooter
- Place the scooter on a flat surface.
- Release the folding mechanism latch.
- Carefully lift the handlebar stem until it locks into the upright position. Ensure the safety lever is engaged.
- Adjust the handlebar height to your preference by loosening the clamp, extending the stem, and re-tightening the clamp.

4.2 Initial Charging
Before your first ride, fully charge the scooter's battery. The charging port is typically located on the side of the deck. Connect the charger to the scooter and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change (e.g., from red to green) when charging is complete.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the power button on the LED dashboard until the display illuminates.
- To power off: Press and hold the power button until the display turns off.
5.2 Riding the Scooter
- Place one foot firmly on the deck.
- Push off with your other foot to gain initial momentum.
- Once moving, gently press the throttle to engage the motor.
- Use the brake levers to slow down or stop.
- Lean slightly in the direction you wish to turn.

5.3 Speed Modes
The iX4 typically features multiple speed modes (e.g., ECO, D, S) which can be cycled through using the mode button on the dashboard. Refer to the LED dashboard image (Figure 2.3) for button locations.
5.4 App Connectivity
The iScooter iX4 can connect to the iScooter Club app via Bluetooth. This allows you to monitor riding speed, remaining battery, and potentially lock the scooter. Download the app from your device's app store.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the scooter with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure water jets or immerse the scooter in water.
6.2 Tire Care
Regularly check the tire pressure. Maintain the recommended PSI for optimal performance and safety. Inspect tires for wear and tear, and replace them if necessary.

6.3 Battery Care
- Charge the battery fully before long periods of storage.
- Store the scooter in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid completely draining the battery.
- Charge the battery at least once every 30 days if not in use to prolong its lifespan.

6.4 Brake Adjustment
Periodically check the brake levers and cables for proper tension and responsiveness. Adjust as needed to ensure effective braking.
7. Troubleshooting
- Scooter not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Check all cable connections.
- Motor not engaging: Verify the throttle is pressed correctly. Check for any error codes on the display.
- Reduced range/speed: Battery may not be fully charged, or tire pressure might be low. Riding conditions (hills, rider weight) can also affect performance.
- Brakes feel loose: Adjust the brake cable tension. If issues persist, consult a professional.
- Unusual noises: Stop riding immediately and inspect the scooter for any loose parts or damage.
